I am a new Chef. I have read the stickies and I know it says that Novice Chef only get XP for foods in the Chef tree. I was wondering do I still get XP for Large Glasses or is that only for Dom. Arts?

I recently took surveying and bought a Med. Harvestor just to get gemstone and now I think that was a really stupid idea.......veggetables would have been a wiser choice. Flames welcome! I just want an answer without havinv to scour the entire post.

Any schematic you gain in Dom Arts (including large glasses) gives artisan xp, not chef xp. In addition, it looks like everything listed under 'components' in your crafting tool (casks, medium additives) give crafting xp, even if you learn the schematic in Chef.

Having a lot of gemstones isn't too stupid of an idea since you can go through a lot making casks. They are crystalline, not amorphous right? But for grinding purposes, start off with vegetables and wheat and do up a bunch of soypro.
