Ok, I thought this was just me yersterday when I logged out still on the stuff and then logged in again, but I'm having problems again today with synthsteak not protecting me from anything and giving me "0 damage was mitigated to defensive buffs!" messages when i'm getting hit for 478 damage.

has anyone else seen this? I probably wont have time to test for another day or two, but I wanted to get this message up incase someone else has a few moments to check things out.

It certainly appears to be working for me - I am constantly on sysnthsteak when hunting, and I'd sure notice Nightsister Rancor tamers & Rancors hitting me if it stopped working for me

apparently aclay stun batons are going through

and perhaps a few others

its something i can't quite put my finger on... it may be that... looking over my combat spam for a few fights after i posted this last night i was getting some really odd results when getting hit by multiple people... one would do damage that got reduced and the other would constantly do closer to 400 and show 0 damage reduced. But I could have sworn the player that always got through was switching between a gaffi and a stun baton.

When you say acklay stun batons, do you just mean the 'broken' ones with min damage higer then max? Or were you thinking that all stun batons or stun damage itself was getting through?

i have checked my combat screen and the synthsteack prevented some damage

The Scatter Hits from Fencer go straight though all Defences, it is unavoidable. So it goes through the Synthsteak. I know this does not explain everything, but it does some.
