Ok, I have just acquired enough skill tapes for a total of +20 to experimentation. I have the chef apron, and +15 to exp spread over 6 tapes, and +5 to assembly over 2 tapes. Is it possible to make an outfit with these and how should I orient them?( 2 in one piece, 1 in each piece, etc.)

Best thing to do would be, Shoes/Pants/Undershirt/Hat/Gloves
If you use a bandolier then you can't have a backpack, but a bandolier is also a choice.
Im not sure about belts, I know their are socketed armor belts but I dont know about clothing wise.

As far as orientation....the exp tapes must all be seperate....so make 4 pieces with 2 tape (exp) then 2 with two tapes (exp and assembly)

Yes don't try to put two +experimentation or two +assembly tapes in the same piece of clothing because it'll just eat the tape and the socket without adding the bonus. The game won't allow more than one of the same bonus on a piece of clothing, so you can't stack them. I lost some tapes that way back when I didn't know better.
