...or more specifically just how long is 2700 seconds. I have a food buff macro to warn me when food is about to run out then automatically eat again if I don't /dump it. This is used for my Ahrisa and VB, rated at 45min and 47min respectively. At the 5 minute warning, or 2400 seconds, I check the time left on buff in the buff window and it says 10 minutes on Ahrisa and 12 mins left on VB... by the time my macro re-eats the food at 2730 seconds I still have over 5 mins left on ahrisa and 7 on brandy, and the stats reflect this.
Anyway the moral of this story is my 45 min ahrisa is lasting a little over 50 mins (50:43 to be exact) and brandy is lasting 52 mins, almost 53.
Weird huh?

So, is the macro clock running too fast or the buff clock running too slow? And is your stomach really empty while the buffs are still up?
Last time I tried it, two 50 fill brandies were definitely in my stomach for a full 45 minutes, but that was some time ago.

Well considering that its commonly accepted that the stomach takes 45min on the dot almost to empty, and with 7 minutes left on the brandy I can drink 2 more when the macro timer says 45mins is up. I need to find a stopwatch...

I just tried this. Started a macro to send myself tells every five minutes, started a stopwatch, and drank two 50 filling 45m 0s brandies. They all looked right to me - got the 45m tell, saw the buff timer hit zero, and watched my stats drop all at 45 minutes on my stopwatch. I was able to down two 50 fill brandies immediately after, but my stomach could have been empty earlier.
I hope these timers are all run off of the server and not dependent on each player's system clock, but I'm a little worried now

Another thing that may be effecting this:
Stacking the same food/drink buff displays the "time remaining" for only the last dose in the buff UI. Since you're probably taking all the doses at once, that shouldn't cause more than 1-2s difference. But if you took one 45m Brandy at 12:00:00 and a second at 12:05:00, the time listed in the UI would be counting down to 12:50:00. The first buff will still run out at 12:45:00, though.

I hate the delay associated from eating off one stack of food twice so I actually have my macro eat off of 2 stacks of ahrisa and 2 stacks of brandy all at the same time. There isn't even a 1 or 2 second delay on them, generally when the brandy runs out its a -810 mind hit or two -405's on top of each other. Also doing it off of two stacks lets me refill my toolbar less often
