Not a chef myself, but Wanderhome number one food taster lol. I try out a lot of different food to be used when I am not doctor-buffed (usually for those harvester runs when I don't have time trying find a doctor or wait for 1/2 hour in Coronet).

I challenged our chefs to see which BoH how good they can make 50 filling BoH. One of our great chefs, malicious took the challenge. He got it to +1057, 50 filling 6 quantity and around 7 minutes duration. I think this is very good. With 1 pre-patch Ryshcate I will drop special cost down to 0. And have space left to take one Brandy/Accaragm/Garrmorl to increase primary stats as well.

But none other than me seems interested. But I am pretty sure people will come screaming for buffs like this after combat revamp (which I am certain will make chef ham buffs a lot more interesting).

With the correct food buffs and spice I can take on most enemies at least for short battles. Which is enough for harvester runs etc.

BTW, highets on my wish-list for chef fixes (other than 30 min digestion) is fix quantity on Smugglers delight. This is one of my favorite food making downer on pixie/moun really short. But the cost is way to high since it is only 1 quantity.

The thing is, not may people need all 3 of those stats buffing.

With Doc buffs so high, people mainly want mind stats buffing, and brandy, canape and ahrissa cover that area more than enough.

The very low duration on BoH also makes it less attractive than a mix of other items

That's true now but what Bermag says about the future is true. The Devs have already stated that they're going to kill off the 2.5k buffs we've all grown to love so when that happens, it's going to fundamentally change the way we buff and a lot of foods that that don't get much love will be mandatory.

You have to look at the cost of this food as well when considering its usefulness.

Max quantity right now is 6 I believe using casks for BoH. It takes 40 high quality resources and 260 crap resources I believe. So I'll say 1k credits for the resources. Add in 2k for the additive and your looking at 3k cost in this. I know of noone that is selling BE Casked BoH for 75k a crate on any server. A much more reasonable price would be 125k-150k especially if you have the resources to get 50 filling.

I'll even assume you can get this for 75k. Thats 500c per use. 500c for a 7 minute buff. The equivalanet Doc buff would be 25k and that would only be for 3 stats. I can't see doc buffs going lower than the best BoH. Below 1200 would be a waste of time IMO. Considering we don't know the extent of the nerfs, that might all change though.

I'm not saying this food is worthless, but the duration kills it for general PvE use. For PvP there are much better options for drink IMO. Even if doc buffs suffer greatly, they aren't getting mind buffs. Musician and Dancer buffs will probably be more useful, but still not convenient. I would love for a majority of players to buy most of the foods I make. I just don't see that happening though.

You point out one very good use for this food. I have even used this and vercupti while loading factories. If it saves me from just one DB it was useful. But if I wasn't a chef I doubt I would be useing it like that though. I know everyone doesn't agree with me, but anything less than a 15 minute duration really has its limits. Canape is the one current exception just because of the insane buff it gives.

BoH like all other (non-mind) HAM buffs is a buff which only is useful when not doctor buffed. When I go out doing missions/hunting I am always doctor buffed. But when you want to do a quick harvester run you might not want to spend 1/2 hour to get buffed (going to coro waint for buff, return). Then it is very useful even if it is short duration.

I am playing with carbineer, fencer and rifleman. Both fencer and carbineer need to buff all 3 stats (mind maybe not that important for fencer/carbineer but need ot for heals). I have been playing around with a lot of other buffs and none will be able to buff you high enough to get all stats high enough for specials cost get down to 0 HAM cost. But 1 BoH and 1 Ryshcate will do it. That leaves me room to get 1 syntsteak + 2 other 33 fill buffs and also 1 other drink (would take Garrmorl for fencer, Accaragm for Carbineer and Brandy for rifleman). But for rifleman I would probably just buff mind

LOL carrying to many buffs ATM. My inventory is full of food and drinks.
