Rules for posting here:

You can only post if you

1- Give a precise and exhaustive list

2- Give a list of food and drinks that can ALL be taken at the same time AND stay within the filling limits (100/100)

3- Give the final stats provided by your list (cause that's what matters)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For non-chef reader, a few reminders:
1 - Food still stack. U can eat several food at the same time and add the effects. BUT you can't eat twice the same food at the same time.
2 - from 1, you can guess that there is no more unique food to have. You will need to have several types of food on you at all time to get a maximum effect.
3 - Good news : complete digestion now takes 30 min instead of 45 min pre CU. So getting a 10 min buff for something that fills u 50 is still worth the try : you get rid of it in 15 minutes.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Food & drinks are now well balanced : you get either a long (40min), low fill (10 range), and small (<200) buff OR a short (10min), high fill (50+), strong buff (400). So my best advice is to be able to do both. U get a base buff at all time (fill 16 for 40 min, you digest it before the effect if off), and just before engaging a fight, u take the power buff to max stats out.

My best bet :

Base :
Teltier Noodles : +170 Health +100 Action Regeneration fill17 44min24s
Blob Candy : +173 Action Regeneration Fill11 45min36s
Spiced Tea : +160 Mind Regen fill8 40min (for medic-related profs)

Power:
Kiwik Clusjo Swirl : +302 Health +200 Action Regeneration +50 Mind Regeneration fill39 12min45s
Breath of Heaven: +423 Health +200 Health Regeneration +200 Action Regeneration + 50 Mind Regeneration fill67 9min18s
Vegeparsine : +98 Melee Defense Fill29 14min48

If you take the base buff with enough lead time to digest, add:

Gruuvan Shaal : +210 Health +200 Health Regeneration fill32 18min12

You get : 995/1205 Health (well over 4K Health!), 200%/400% Health Regen, 673% Action Regen, 260% Mind Regen

Not bad, hu ?

Right now I'm usin:

  • Blob Candy: +180 for 1hr 2min, 10 filling

  • Teltier Noodles: +154/100 for 1hr 2min, 14 filling

  • Kanali Wafers: +180/100 for 1hr 2min, 16 filling

  • Caf: +182/100 for 1hr 2min, 16 filling

  • Spiced Tea: +180 for 1hr 2min, 9 filling

  • Accarragm: +48/200/200 for 16min 33sec, 49 filling

  • Kiwik Clusjo Swirl: +315/200/50 for 11min, 33 filling

  • Pikatta: 54% for 24min 30sec, 27 filling

  • Elshandruu Pica Thundercloud: +100 for 18min 50sec, 16 filling

I'll probably substitute Scrimpi in for the kiwik swirl once I get a chance. If I leave out the pikatta and pica thunder, though, all the others can stay on me for a constant buff

People on my server are saying they can get upto and maybe over an extra 2k health from food/drink. Can you chefs confirm this?

Yeah it's doable if you use the right foods/spice. I wouldn't really recommend it tho... you'll only have that much of a buff for a few minutes (around 7) and it'll maxout your fillings. IMO it's best to use the long duration stuff with the good ol' defense/dodge foods

Question is if in which order you take stuff matters. Food/drinks adds a fixed number but doctor buff and spice is percent increase. If order matyters then food/drink should be taken before doctor buffs spice. Or maybe the % buffs work on base stats?

Have not tested this have to do that.

Well I am starting to PvP and need to find a good combo of food/drink. I read the initial post but not 100% sure just how good the different combo's are. I'm looking primarily for good health bonus and good action regeneration. Ideally for at least 1.5k or possibly even 2k if I can get it. Al the chefs I know aren't too sure hence my post here...

About 10mins b4 i know im going to PvP Blob Candy, Teltier Noodles, Kanali Wafers, Caf, Bofa Treat.

Just before the pvp i take BoH, Vegeraspin, Crispic, Pik Pie, synth (im usually no fill by now so no problems)

And i take Deuterium-Pyro when i can in the battle.

A very informative post!

But in regards to the Vegeparsine that you suggest taking to boost melee defense - I was under the impression that it is buggged and that tests conducted showed no increased defense after it was consumed. Has anyone heard of thatbeing fixed?

I tested vege in pve and it caused a same-level critter to miss me considerably more. Melee defense has never changed the amount of damage your character takes, it's just a -accuracy mod to any melee attackers.

But this could still be a useful thread; we could use some posts of good combos now

So far I've come up with:

1).

Kanali Wafers(+180 Health, +100 Health Regen)

Blob Candy (+180 Action Regen)

Spiced Tea (+180 Mind Regen)

IMO this is the best way to buff HAM with the artisan foods. Ends up with 180 health, 100 health regen, 180 action/mind regen for 1hr 2min with about 20-25 in each filling.

2).

Vagnerian Canape (+350 Health, +50 Health Regen, +200 Mind Regen)

Vasarian Brandy (+200 Health Regen, +200 Action Regen, +50 Mind Regen)

In theory a toon who uses this combo should have +350 Health, +200 to all Regens for about 16-17min with around 38-50 in each filling.

The first option should be a pretty big hit for grinders, but I have a feeling a lot of people will opt for the added bonuses of the second in large-scale PvP and during BH/Jedi fights. Don't put those pre-CU berries and fruits away just yet

Cmon guys... I know we're all a little pissed about the recent changes, but it's not the end of the world. There are lotsa chef recipes that are still useful:

  • Pica Thunder

  • Vegeparsine

  • Pikatta Pie

  • Parwan Nutricake

  • Pyollian Cake

  • Bespin Port

  • Air Cake

  • Mando

  • BoH

  • Vercupti

  • Brandy (or accarragm)

  • Canape (or won-won)

That's just off the top of my head. Seems like the only threads anyone posts in anymore are those dumbass "I'm quitting chef" threads. Let them quit, I know there are other chefs out there who aren't quitting, though, and I think we can help each other out if we put our heads together!
