Vayerbok ...

... for the block...

... or not?

What is "Block" and have someone tested this?

Reason: The lack of multiplayer pve content and Star Wars feel.
For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

We have tested it with Jedi and non-jedi. So far it appears to do absolutely nothing. LOL. But most of the Jedi I know are still carrying it and using it anyway. Cant say there have been conclusive tests yet, but a lot of this has to do with the fact that the entire Melee Def/Ranged Def system seems to be functioning in a very weird way.

I would bet your only gonna get "xxxx missed" regardless if it's a block or a dodge, only thing the devs do where simplier is easier...........................

Yep. Problem is, in all of our tests there is absolutely NO variation in the number of misses in more than 30 consecutive identical attacks. With all the variations and possible unseen defensive and offensive caps, not to mention the widely different templates available in the game, there is still no conclusive evidence that it DOESN'T work. I am not foolish enough to assume that a few tests make a conclusive argument. Its a start though.

We have a long way to go to understanding the way the combat system really works vs how we have been told it works. We went through this before, and it just takes time. We can speculate, but in the end there are too many new unknowns. How does melee and ranged defense actually work against another individuals accuracy? How does force aura and duelist stance affect those, or do they even really affect them at all? Oh...I know the textbook answers on these questions. I read the Dev tracker and the CU notes in detail. LOL....but if you think it actually works the way they have said it does, well...god luck with that.

Vegeparsine is another example. I have no less than 4 hours of testing into vegeparsine. So far? Nothing. No noticeable benefit when applied to a finished template vs finished template scenario. Are there caps to defensive or offensive mods? Do different mods not stack like they appear to, but instead work on different levels? Why do the dodge foods mitigate damage when they are only supposed to increase the chance of a miss? Pikatta and aircake both mitigate damage....what? What are the hard caps on the weapons, and how are they calculated? Why do intimidate and stun states have widely different affects on different templates? Are defensive and offensive SEAs still capped at +25? The character screen says they are NOT capped, but the DPS calculations think they are?

We have a long way to go.

A vayerbok would block no amounts of bolts becouse a vayerbok cant block bolts.

And even if a vayerbok would block bolts, and even if a vayerbok could block bolts, what bolts whould a vayerbok block?

I learned it from Monkey Island ^_^

Guybrush: "How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?"
Woodsmith: "A woodchuck could chuck no amount of wood since a woodchuck can't chuck wood."
Guybrush: "But if a woodchuck could chuck and would chuck some amount of wood, what amount of wood would a woodchuck chuck?"
Woodsmith: "Even if a woodchuck could chuck wood, and even if a woodchuck would chuck wood, should a woodchuck chuck wood?"
Guybrush: "A woodchuck should chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood, as long as a woodchuck would chuck wood."
Woodsmith: "Shut up"

I think the situation regarding Vayerbok is cleared up. Not working.
