Well got one of my questions answered. The Dev , not sure of name, said they will be taking the feedback back to Austin and look at changing some stuff.

What stuff?

Did they elaborate?

Or is that a cleverly vague reply so that they can't be nailed down to any promises?

This makes me think of Big Fish and we are getting a vague piece of info each month as we pay our $15.

Yeah the response was really vague. Bascically he said they have gotten alot of good feedback on the current Chef situation and they would take that feedback and look into rewriting some of the code on chef. So your guess is as good as mine what this will really entail, or when it will happen. At least we were acknowledged.

Hi and welcome to Generic Response #115

devs couldnt care less about our profession from what ive seen ever since the cu and since long before the cu.

Every new patch that comes in the crafters get screwed, let me elaborate.

Warcry was a game breaking bug, ppl were even quitting over it, so much less enjoyment.. we get a patch and what does it involve: "fixing the complexity on items while crafting so that factorys now take ALOT longer to make goods" thanks.

Architects = buildings/deed items will no longer explode they will just sit there and not have to be replaced by new crafted deeds.

Droid engineer = need i say more, ive had the same droid since when i started the game

Armorsmith = im currently trying to help a friend out with this, since the cu the changes have been beyond awful, 5 days of factory items and constant sub components for a grand tally of 6 suits of armour, the correspondent spoke up about the issues and was given the nice feedback of being sacked from his position.

Weaponsmith = quest rewards on kasshyyyk look to be far better stats than most of the actual craftable weapons screwing over the weaponsmiths in general, add to that that using pre-cu converted subcomponents you can get better stat weapons against using 100+ dmg krayt tissues post-cu... yes that makes ALOT of sense. These so called looted weapons on kash are for pretty much every profession and are screwing WS over big time, they should have been schematics imo.

Doctors = you dont even need items now to use the ability to heal etc, infact most things arent even needed and crafting the med items adds little to the actual final result of what you are doing. I knew alot of doc crafters who just gave up after they done alot of testing on the new so called items they could craft post-cu.

Chef = We have schematics for about 100food and drinks.. we get the enjoyment of crafting 2-5 of those (bit like precu i suppose), we arent told anything at all when it comes to changes vastly effecting our profession by anyone 'in charge', infact you will find all the helpful stuff actually comes from the chef players. Constantly bugged items that go 'overseen' or fall on the rubber ear so to say, they continue to keep changing things around like stacking foods without mentioning a thing to anyone. Food such as detrenium pyro/synthsteak etc has seconds worth of duration... has anything been mentioned regarding whether this was intended or not? no. we are left completely in the dark as per usual continuing to get nerfed again and again. Gee, wow thanks.

Shipwright = welcome to the wonderful world of handcrafting as "we cant be bothered to make factories for your items, good luck filling your vendors chaps" and finding loads of the so called resources that have never spawned on your server yet.

All the time this all goes by overseen while alot of hard and dedicated crafters, alot of whom were good friends continue to quit and there concerns go unheard, and this is by no way the fault of the correspondents as we know they try there hardest for us most of the time and do a good job of it... instead this goes further up where it would seem they just dont give a donkey about all our concerns over what is happening to the game we love to play. Its all about bloody combat except you seem to conviently forget that its the hard worked crafters that keep the game in check by providing all our stock to the combat chars. It seems as times goes bye that soe are trying to appeal more to the console gamers and less and less on the people that are dedicated to playing and love this game and in my opinion that stinks big time.

Oh, come on, enough of this 'poor armorsmith correspondent being fired for simply doing his job' crap. He and most everybody else knows what he did to get s-canned.

They could have at least made the AS Corr a blue glowy, but that's way beside the topic.

We need feedback that isn't from a player overhearing a dev conversation, but from a dev themself.

Good luck on getting that.

I agree with C-hiefy. I have many friends who are crafters and in some way shape or form they have gotten messed about. I haven' bought a weapon post CU now and as for armour, the only thing my friend makes is Faction Armour as its the only thing that pays, plus of course it is hand crafted and take sup all his time. In some respects, I feel that Chef is in a better position than most other crafting profs but we do need some feedback on whetehr certain foods are working as intended....
