So I make the sunshine suprise component for tat sunburn with about 3 uses on each item. Yet when i go to use them in Tat Sunburn it takes one whole sunshine surprise, 3 uses and all, in each spot. Is this just how it is? I kinda thought that one charge would be used not the whole thing.

That's pretty much how it is. The sunburn requires a whole stack of starshines for each slot.

That's just how it is. The component slot takes one stack.

And unless I missed a change, the quality of the starshine has no effect on the outcome of the sunburn, so don't waste HQ resources on them.

This is just a curious question... but if you take a use from the stack, does it still work? Could you, for example, take a stack of Starshine Surprise from the crate, use it until there's one use left, repeat with a second stack, and then use the two half-used stacks in hand-crafting a Tat sunburn?

If Starshine Surprise was a particularly useful item, it would be an awesome way for chefs to get a little extra oomph out of their resources, and it may become one with the new revamp so it may be worth trying out.

Yes, "used starshines" are usable in Sunburns.
