Thread: Being a Master Chef while chasing holocrons
Since the holiday gift, I thought it would be interesting to just see what profession SOE decided I should master in order to unlock my FSCS. I would never have thought about actually persuing it in the 6 months I've played, and having never seen a holo in my possesion, I decided 'Why the heck not?'
In order to continue on your path of Enlightenment you must master Squad Leader.
Interesting. I had never thought about doing this profession before. So, I took a look at the Squad Leader FAQ that was stickied at the top (all profession have this on their boards [*nudge other holoslaves*] if I'm not mistaken).
So I spent a day grouped with people on Dantooine gaining XP and leading them into victory.
"But what does this have to do with Chef?" You might ask. Well, it is quite easy.
I have learned valuable information about the Squad Leader profession (like how they need some good Action and Mind regen buffs. Commands drain those pools like crazy).
Basically, what I'm trying to get across here, is that by using these holocrons and mastering different professions (next one said Medic), one can get a good feel of what buffs a profession will need because of this hand-on experience. So now, a Master Chef can also ask 'What professions do you have?' and be able to help customers develop a menu quicker and more effectively. I think I have found a good reason to persue the 'Jedi cubes', even if it takesmonths to unlock the slot. At least now I will have a better understanding of the actual workings of other professions.
Also, by keeping my tag up, I have been able to get my name out to many more combat-oriented characters. Which is good timing, as spice seems to be taking a downward spiral on Eclipse as people are seeing how much better food is (stackable with no downer!).
So now I ask, how many of you are holoslaves?
