Chefs do cater weddings and events but far as the 'fine dining restaurant for couples' in SWG, I think that idea would bomb.

Chefs do cater...I even have a catering vendor (**shameless advertising** - see signature for waypoint for Corbantis Residents) And I was also thinking about starting up a restaurant where people would come to make reservations...have your first date perhaps??? hahaha. Reservations would be divine...but then I'd have to set up hours and I'm not sure when I'll be on sometimes. I might just open up a restaurant for a few weeks or something...just to try it out. But it's such an interesting idea...I haven't really seen it excercised that way on my server yet...I'm trying to find the time to do so - but it is hard. (my friends would laugh cuz I've been talking about opening a restaurant forever...and well, still haven't )

Actually, funny that you ask that, because I'm in the process of purchasing and decorating a cantina just for that! I plan to take reservations, have people come and sit down and give orders to me who will wait on them, but I'm not sure how succesful it will be as I'm a full time student, without much time to play. Not really sure what the demand is either...

I am nearly ready to open "Chef Dantu's Elegant Dining Experience" on Naboo just outside of Theed on the Naritus server. My goal is to have the classiest restaurant in the galaxy. This is my first artisian profession so it has been a learning experience. The vendor is a "waiter" who will take your order near the tables, there is a matrodee(sp?) who greets you in the lobby. One side room functions as the "library/cigar room" whereas upstairs is the "bed&breakfast" with sleeping quaters, etc...

I hope to open up by tomorrow night, making sure i have all the stock ready. And i fell kind of stupid since i haven't written down the waypoint yet, flame away!. But if you go straight south from the starport door its about 750m away.

that sounds like such a cool idea, but, theres no incentive for anyone to come. No one wants to sit around and eat food giving them buffs, and just continue sitting there. Dancers aren't really entertaining so they wouldn't really help much. You don't have to be standing next to someone to talk to them either. You can just /tell. If the devs made something that would give a benefit for going to a restuarant, it might work. But right now people want food for combat.
