The answer is probably laying around and this has probably been discussed before, but I can't seem to find an aswer searching for it.
I got my hands on a crafting apron last night and sure enough, I can't use it. 
Is this as intended or is this going to be corrected? It seems that when I chose to play a wookiee I checked a box someplace that said, "enjoyment hampered." I dropped all my combat and decided to go chef a few months back because I was at an armor disadvantage and now it seems that I'm at another disadvantage here.
I can wear a chef's hat and a chef's apron, but I can't wear a crafting apron? What's the deal?

cant agree more mate,gettin real tired of the poor support and deployment for wookies,
id like a answeeer to this asap as i want a crafters apron had one and couldnt wqear it after payin several mil for the thing.
its like the devs havent a clue anymore,i think they should have a mandatory time playin wookie charactors before they are allowed to code,bet the race would get fixed then

Gotta keep those wookies down or else they get a big head and think they can do everythinga normal player can.
sorry bud but the wookies just aren't smart enough to put on an apron.

smart enough to know where to stick this big blade when i get comments like that lol.
i just have no idea whether they actually think about racial things before they do them anymore

This has been brought up a couple of times, and I brought it to the developers attention. Now...we just have to wait and see if they get enough time to fix it or if they are too busy with more important things.
Just for the record, my chef is also a wookiee. I am not happy about this either.
