If you have one... how did you come across the "Heavy Leathers"???

If you don't have one because you cannot find any Heavy Leathers than join me in a rant about how insane it is to make an artisan sought item so difficult to make!

Just out of curiousity... since I am a chef with just the pistol tree (and Meatlumps and Jawas are my kind of kill)...

how hard are those to kill? 3k ham? more?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say "more".

You can also try purchasing the leather. I've noticed at least a couple auctions a day on the trade forums. Prices tend to get kind of high, though, especially for the large stacks of identical leather. But you may be able to find a 2-stack (all you need for crafter's apron) for 2-400k.

I got 5 identical off a Jinda Shamen, about 10k HAM using my Jedi

However, every damned schematic I got was for Doc, so I bought an Apron - managed to get a dark-grey one that matches my Chef's pleated skirt perfectly

Now, I just need another +12 food exp :/

Ok, first find the wino in Duaba Guerfel. He's a random spawn, but always within 100m of the cantina. Start up a conversation, although everything he says will be unintelligible (the devs will be adding "Drunkard (comprehension)" next publish). Pick the conversation option "Want some rye? 'Course ya do!". This will open up a trade window. Drop in two stacks of Correlian Ale. There has to be a total of 12 doses, and the bonus has to be +10 or he won't click accept.

Once the trade is completed, he'll go through a few drinking animations, then pass out. /loot his body (make sure there's no STs around or you'll get a TEF for robbery) and you get a data disk with the waypoint and an access key.

Make sure to have a pretty decent sized stack of milk on hand before heading off. The end-boss of the dungeon will challenge you to cream pies at 10 paces. And you have to craft them one at a time before launching them at him, the temp schematic won't allow you to start the crafting if a pie is already in your inventory.

Good luck!

I got one off of a Valerian Thug with 700Health so that should cheer you up a bit.

i got one off some thug too, but for the chef apron you need two identical ones. i checked the tailor forums, one is all that is needed for two kinds of loot backpacks, so even one by itself is useful for something, just not the chef something.
