Before I make my decision, I would like some input

1)How bugged are Chefs?

2)If Chefs were fixed, what can Chefs do?

3)Is it worth it to become a Chef but not a master? What will I be missing from taking the Master and a fer Rank IV skills?

Thx in advance

1.chef are very bugged. atm food is killing people who use it with enhances so no ones been buying food for a long time. even if food does work the sales are not too fast. my pharmecueticals sell a lot faster than my foods. about 1/4 of our food requires milk which is impossible to get in large amounts. food doesnt sell well and being a chef mainly involves surveying for resources and managing harvesters more than anything else.

2.if chefs are fixed we can make food that buffs different stats for a few minutes. the buffs arent worth it unless youre pretty rich since each application of a buff would cost around100-200c while a 1k doc buff lasts for about 2 hours. mind buffs are even cheaper and easier to find.

3. if u want to be a chef but not master i reccommend getting cooking 4 since foods are pretty bad without experimentation. the artisan foods are not much worse than most chef foods since you can stack them so much so just making artisan foods is something i would consider before getting chef.

Here is my advice: Don't do it.

Why?

1. We are a buffing class--there are NO fighting abilities tied to cheffing, like in combat medic, or creature handler. Even the Master Dancer gets a defence ranged plus.

2. Our buffs are of less duration and less power than a doctor's enhancement.

This last is the one that made me give up cheffing, although I was more than halfway to master . . .

3. Our buffs now HURT people by not only crashing stats after the buff wears off, but sticking them there, you have to DIE to get them unstuck.

Did they know the last patch would do this? Yep, there was a report from the test center that it would. Did they go ahead and go live with it? Yes they did.

I am not a whiner by nature, the day I found that happened, and at least it waswith me and not a customer, I simply clicked the surrender button and watch asDAYS of grinding disappeared. Oh yes, I forgot .. .

4. Skill advancement is also bugged for chefs.

But it was a nasty feeling to know that our profession is so little valued. Ladies and Gentlemen, it wasn't that they didn't fix us, it was that they damaged us further.

Shame on you, test developers.

I was a good chef.

I'm a Bounty Hunter currently giving consideration to professions that aren't forcing me to waste all my skill points. Chef is prime among them.

So, how is Chef? Is it good in PvP (joking) Is it profitable and fun? How is the demand on most of your servers?
