Thread: trim/cask serial # questions

Okay, the FAQ says that the serial number of containers doesn't matter when making drinks in a factory. So does this mean that if I was running 1000 units of brandy, then I could use 500 casks from one schematic, and 500 casks with a different serial?

They do still need to be named the same right, so "Cask 1", "Cask 2" would mess everything up?

What about making the casks, do they care about the serial number of the trim I use? If that matters, that means that a run of 1000 units of trim would only make 500 casks, right?

you can name them anything. A cask is a cask.

Trim, however, has to be the same when initially making the casks.

You made the same thread like 4 hours before this one? Almost word for word. Any reasoning why you are doubling up or was it a mistake?

All gone. Nothing to see now. Bye Bye Ahazi most of you guys were cool

yeah, I didn't see my first post show up, sorry.

Anyway, I just realized that my biggest run of brandy possible anyway is going to be 500, due to the need for two identical alcohol. And i can't pull that trick with alcohol, right?

correct 2 identical alcohol are serial number dependant. so 2 for making the schematic for the run and now you're down to 498 from the actual run. Casks are great for not being serial dependant though. I just run a constant supply in a seperate factory and don't have to worry about making drink schematics to match them, just plug in whatever is left over in the final product factory

only problem with that is you need 2 identical alchohol...casks don't need to be identical if you look at the required ingrediants...next to casks where the serial should be...is this box looking character, I'm guessin this is SOE's way of indicating that it doesn't matter what serial# it has...so a 1000 run of a drink is do-able...but a 2000 run of alchohol isn't...so unfortunately 500 is the cap for brandy in 1 run.
