Hello Chefs,

I've been a chef for a while, but a poor one, and I just FINALLY got my hands on some broad spectrum nutrients, the stuff I'm supposed to be able to use to boost nutrients level, etc. Anyway, I go to my crafting station and try to use it in my food and it won't take! It doesn't appear in the filter and when i try to put it in the additives slot it wont take either. I verified that it's the right type of nutrient - medium - and double checked which foods/drinks take medium additives, and nothing works. I tried using my crafter droid, bz I figured maybe it was a problem with my statoin, but that didn't work either. I don't know what's up here. Is this a bug? Some bum tissues? Any advice would be nice....

thanks

You are right in saying that the food takes a medium additive, the broad spectrum nutrients you are trying to put into the medium additive slot are in fact bio-engineered components and not additives. You should see 3 components in your food & chemical crafting tool called "light food aditive", "medium food additive" and "heavy food additive", each of them require a bio engineered component of the size relative to the additive (Eg. Medium Additive = Broad Spectrum nutrient), additionally they require some water. Once you have manufactured the aditive, you are able to use it in your food/drink.

It is a pain because we chefs have to re-manufacture everything we buy off the bio-engineer, which eats up factory time. Hope this helps out, if not the FAQ explains it similar to what I wrote.

Thanks! I dont know why I didn't figure that out. I "knew" that we had to make them, I just figure the BEs could make them. I asked him for some medium food additives and just figured he'd make 'em. Dang. Okay.... i got it now.

Thanks!
