So with crafters Apron I got +5 food Exp, So dam I need another 20 points in skill tapes?
Technically, you only need another +15 (if you've got an apron) to have 12 experimentation points to spend. The extra +5 theoretically improves your success rate (more greats/amazings) during experimentation, which makes really high-stat stuff easier to get.
A tape uses up a socket, andany piece of clothing can have sockets (shirt, jacket, pants, etc). I don't think jewelry gets sockets, though. Although socketed rings/necklaces would definitely make things easier.
Tapes don't currently stack in the same piece of clothing, but it's been implied that that's a bug. To get the +15 you basically have to start with high-bonus tapes (+5 and above), and pick up the lower level ones to top you off to +20 or +25.

I thought 12 points is the highest you can go..
I.E. +5 exp fom craft apron.
+ 7 from skill tapes, mos
It depends on what "points" you're talking about. ![]()
The most benefit you can get from skill tapes (to a single skill) is +25. If you wore an outfit of clothes with a total bonus of +30, you'd still only get +25. You can mix tapes for different skills, so for example you could have clothes with +25 Dodge, +10 accuracy, and each skill will get it's full bonus.
Points spent during experimentation are determined by your "Food Experimentation" skill (at least for chef food). For every +10 you have to that skill mod, you get one experimentation point. At Master chef, you gain a total of +100 to Food experimentation, giving you 10 experimentation points.
100 at Master + 25 from skill tapes = 125.
Food Experimentation 125 = 12 experimentation points.
So a "12 point chef" is someone who has gathered at least +20 worth of Food experimentation tapes, giving them 12 points to spend when experimenting.
