Right, I dunno if I missed it in the sticky but I can't find it so I'm resorting to this. I bought some 24.8 Bivoli the other night and I buffed for the same amount with a 24.1, a guildmate told me it's capped at 23. This true?

I believe it is not capped at 23 but that decimals are dropped, if any,

That's correct Chiannie. Decimals do not count.
Annoyed me as my 1st run of bivoli was 24.9.
Luckily i can now make +25 with 3 uses per stack

The thing that confused me I tried again, first with my +25 stuff i had in storage, then my current +24, no change in buff...

bivoli is probably capped at 26...although you'd need perfect resources for your additives, and the bivoli itself...but there isn't an incredible amount of difference between 24 and 26 in terms of buff...maybe 20 points....maybe.
but then again doc buffs are very likely to get reworked...so who knows maybe the difference between 24 and 26 will be a lot bigger after the combat rebalance. but as it stands now...not a whole lot of difference.

My alt was a doctor for a while and there was a diffrence between 22 and 25 but I never tested if there was between 23 and 25. If anyone knows a doc we should test it and find out for sure ? It would be nice to know if it really does cap at 23, because it takes a fair number of points to push it all the way to 25.
Then again even if we prove 24 and 25 don't add anything most docs will still only buy 25

I agree with battery, docs want the higher number even if it's proven that it doesn't help. I think it's a status symbol...kinda like driving a BMW...it doesn't perform better than other lower priced cars...but it's a BMW...

Maybe I'm the exception to the rule ... I will buy bivoli at any bonus from +23 on up. The difference in my buffs is only 40 to 60 points. Quite honestly I'm more inclined to by +23/3 use Bivoli than +25/2 useBivoli.A 2300 stat buff will sell just as well as a 2360 buff.

duration is also important...+25/3 use bivoli that has a 10 minute duration is just as good as +25/2 that lasts 15 minutes...it actually might be better since you don't have to eat another bivoli quite so often...and then filling plays a role since you don't want any down time.
and the longer lasting buffs sell better than the higher power ones now anyway...especially if all the buffs end close together.
