Thread: BRANDY? What skills do i need as a chef to make...
But i do use bespin port in a very specific way. After getting the initial amazing success (this can take up to 10 goes to get) i then take a shot of port and try for the next amazing success. This is especially true with my brandy, 8 points in nutrition and 4 in duration, i get the 8 points without port and try for the amazing 4 point duration with. It seems the most effieciant way of doing it.
On the success to point used ration its definitely the less points the more chance of a amazing, if i'm crafting and put 1 point in something its more often that not amazing.
But its all just dump luck in the end, i've went through 2 crates of components just to get a all amazing schem, but other days it takes 2 goes.

All amazings are easy to get, even as a 10 points. You just need patience and have to put aside 1 crate of each sub component. I very rarely go over that 1 crate amount. I hardly ever did as a 10 point.
Out of curiousity, do you see better results putting in more points per experiment (reducing the number of experiments) or using fewer points (increasing the chance of an amazing for each experiment)? And did you do this with or without Bespin Port or research center bonus?
I was attempting this with a Bivoli schematic a week or so back. Even a4-5 point amazing would've been enough to hit +25 and leave me enough experimentation points to get 3 uses. I went through half a crate of heavy additives before noticing that my crafting tool was -11. /doh! Grabbing some high-CD copper I had lying around I whipped up a couple good tools, and tried again. Twice I got the amazings I needed....one followed immediately by a "good" success, the other by a "moderate". Grrr. ![]()
