looking for a way to check stats without wastingvaluable additives. any help would be appreciated.

No I haven't seen one of these yet but yes would be very useful.

Not seen one either - according to the Faq there was one, but it is now available. Your best bet might be the bar next to the resource-slot in your crafting menu. That gives you a general idea of how good your resource is for that particular thing.

I've got a rough one done up in excel here:
It's not as fancy as one I had planned before, but it does most of the basic calculations. Enter in the number of resource units, stat percentages from the schematic, resource stats, food min/max range, and additive bonus and it will at least tell you what stats you'll cap out at, and how many experimentation points are needed (assuming you get all great successes).
Just for bandwidth purposes, if it looks useful, download it rather than going to that link every time.

wow. thankyou. now if someone would do one for vercupti. that is the one I have the most problem with and the bars on the sid of the window are useless as you don't necessarily want the best over all. you want filling stats mainly.

Yes that Spreadsheet is pretty useful.
I enhanced it a bit for myself so it also tells me about the ranges the food is in. But the design is so bad only I understand what it does right now.
Perhaps i'll see if i can make it a bit better and send it to sciguyCO to see if he aproves of the changes and wants to make it public, after all its his...
