Thread: is anyone having problems with canapes???

hello friends,
i am pure melee combat tank. as such i need all the mind foods i can stuff myself with. for those reasons i am nearly always using vagenarian canapes. however recently i have started to hit problems with them. the problem is that if by any chance i eat 2 canapes in a single go, i get the mind boost for only 1 canape but my stomach gets accounted for 2 canapes.
i dont know if you guys have every been subjected to this, but for the last couple of weeks this has really become a nuicance. as such i would like to know wheather i am the only one who is getting this problem or is this supposed to happen.
if this is supposed to happen can someone pls explain to me why it happens. this does not happen when one drinks 2 swigs of brandy. but it sure as hell happens for the canapes.

Should not happen.
Check it again, and file a bug report... I'll go ingame and test it with one of my Canapes as well.

Find ahrisa and use that instead of canape. Cananpe is the emergency mind food not the big buffer.

Tested 2 doses of my Canape and they worked perfectly.
Could you give us exact stats of the food, and your stats, perhaps its something there?

thanks guys for taking the time off to help me out.
ill log on and then put the stats for the canapes here in this group.
maybe (i am hoping here) that the problem is with my batch of canapes and not with just my game. since i would like to think my luck cant be that bad. jk
as such i have filed the bug report 2 days back but have yet to get any reply from the csr. i by mistake posted a new thred in the techinal problems forum and there the csr said i had made the mistake and that i should post it in the professions forums. thus you got my post here.
let the server start and ill have the exact stats up on this thread

PS: i use canapes as a backup mind tool only. with mind buffs and brandy going i very rarely need any help at all. but sometimes if i get hit with a mind poison or desease i take it. this porblem cropped up when during battle i used 2 canapes at once. i thought i was laggin or something so i looged off and tried it with 3 canapes and the same happend i got benifit of 1 but filling of 3.

the stats on my canapes are
+647 11 minutes 12 seconds 33 filling

sounds like this may in some way be related to another bug thats been around for a while now...the one where you take damage, but your ham bars don't change (well not visibly, but they are still changing) and then at some seemingly random point in time (most often just before you die) the true status of your ham bars is correctly displayed...and people panic when they see a -60ish damage message over their head...and all of a sudden 2000 points worth of damage register on their ham bars...
since others have reported that it works fine for them...that seems like a likely candidate since that bug is not easily repeatable...and will often affect only a handful of people at random points in time.
if its a bad batch...well try another batch...it may simply be that something about your character got corrupted or something. contact a CSR and ask them to watch you as you take 2 doses...make sure you read them your stats as you see them, and ask them to read them your stats as they see them...
I know from personal experience that these 2 numbers are not always the same...and that character stats and things like that can become corrupted. you may indeed be under the effect of 2 (from the servers point of view) but only the effects of 1 may be displayed.

i have started using a new batch of canapes but even those do the same thing. this batch is 748+ 11 minutes and 39 filling.
i have already sent 2 bug reports to the CSR's but as such no action has been taken. this has reached such a bad condition that now even the 1 canapes i take does not give proper effects. after its time runs over it still occupies some ( albit only 4-5 bars) in the stomach. taken in this light it does not seem too much but if like me you are getting 900k xp every other one and a half hour it gets to be a probelm casue in an hours time those 4 -5 bars take up the space of a whole bloody canape that does not recide. i took screen shots of it too. incase anyone is intersted in seeing them.
help pls

unfortunately this sounds like it really is a corrupted character issue...and you'll just have to wait for a CSR. what category did you submit your ticket as?
prior to this did you experience a "walk through hills"/"invisible to everyone"/"float over terrain" bug? I know that when that particular bug happens...bad things happen to your character file...haven't heard of that one happening in a while tho.

yeah i am wondering what is gonna happen casue this is becomine a real nuicance.
i hope the CSR contacts me soon. i am a power combat leveler so i cant wait tokeep things hangingaround all that long. for my canape to go down.

as far as whats going to happen...I think they'll make you delete your character, and recreate it...then give you back your skills/etc.
I remember a chef that quit a while ago named Nikii that had to go through a similar process when she had an issue regarding not being able to receive in game mails.
the whole process of them trying stuff, etc...will probably take a few weeks...so a "quick" solution may simply be to use a different food if canapes are the only ones giving you problems.
but on a side note...use ahrisa...its a lot more effective anyway.
