Thread: Melee Defense Cap Extended with food?

I'm capped on melee defense, (+125) if I eat the food that gives +X amount of melee defense, sorry don't know name, will it effect me at all?

The devs have stated that all food(and squadleader affects) are applied after any caps placed in the game. So according to their statements the food would be a bonus to you.
The food you are looking for is Vesparine(hopefully I spelled that right 
)

Vegeparsine takes you over the +125 cap as Numen says. Pica also does it for ranged defense.
