Hello,

I am a resource provider on Bria... some would say i am THE resource provider on Bria. I host the site www.nickschale.us/hound (clicky in sig).

If you could take a quick second to look what i have done on the minerals tab in introducing the formula for architects. This was a test to see how it would look. It is really the only formula I am 100% certain on and am pleased with the results.

I would like to do the same for all the professions. Though I cannot list formulas for ever (would like to have the chart fit on a 1028x768 screen) I would like to have at least a couple formulas from the key professions.

So what i ask for your 'votes' (for lack of a better word) I would like to see your two TOP formulas. What would be helpful to see in a chart like mine. To use the arch formula as an example, here is what a post would read:

"Hound - This formula is a must for Archs. HR+SR+UT+UT... and it has to be equal or greater than 3600! It is used on d$mn near all structure creations. [then insert a second choice] [then maybe any comments]"

Clear as mud ?

It is my goal to continue to growby helping my customers more every day

There isn't an easy formula like that for chefs thats correct for all foods.
Sometimes Flavor (usually the duration) is important (like with brandy) and the filling is not really (brandy usually starts with 51 whatever you do, and 1 point is enough to get it to 49)
Then with Vercupti if you try to get to 50% filling, then obviously filling is first and foremost important, while duration is third or forth priority.

Also different chefs have different priorities even for the same stuff.
Or recipes that use the same ingredients have totally different priorities (my Fruit/Berries for Canape and Brandy are completely different, since i look for other stats for both)

Sorry, there's really no "ultimate formula" to determine if something is good or bad for chefs, it completely depends on the resource and on the products its going to be used in.

here is a post from a chef a while back

"
as fas as your flora goes, it's all pretty crappy...chefs need high OQ/PE/DR and BEs need OQ/PE/Fl....and all 3 stats have to be high...over 2500 total to make a great product, 2400 to be ok

The main issue is that there's a lot more flexibility with chef foods than with architect items. For harvesters, everyone wants high BER, with whatever experimentation points left over in hopper.

With food, you can go just for buff size (in which case OQ/PE are all that matters), buff size and duration, low filling, or any other combination.

That doesn't help you much, though, does it? For most flora/meat I personally gauge the quality with these:

66% PE + 33% OQ >= 900

66% FL + 33% OQ >= 850

For a single equation, you could combine those two into "PE + OQ + FL >= 2625", which should give a good rough estimate on quality, although different chefs weight the experimental categories differently. This covers the majority of chef items (66% PE + 33% OQ determines buff size, 66% FL + 33% OQ determines buff duration).

Then there are the recipes where filling is a concern (Vercupti, Vagnerian Canape, mainly):

For Vercupti, you can make good money finding insect meat, lubricating oil, and/or tubers with 75% DR+ 25% OQ > 900. With that, a chef can make 50 filling Vercupti, always a popular item. Similar stats on fruits and wild rice allows for 50 filling Mandalorian Wine (although that's a looted schematic, so not all chefs can make it).

Canape uses fruits and berries, and doesn't need quite so high-quality: 75% DR + 25% OQ > 600 as a minimum, but > 825 or so saves the chef an experimentation point.

to be one of the top chefs on the radiant server you need to have OQ/FL/PE extremely high like the lowest one at 850 and DR needs to be high enough so you don't have to waste points on quan

the 50% OQ 30% PE 20% FL formulat applies to BE additives. Seeing that'd be helpful to BEs and Chefs who make their own additives. As far as a generic one-size-fits-all flora formula, I'd say something like 35 OQ 35 PE 20 DR 10 FL or so would give a good overall indication of a resource's quality, though a straight OQ + PE + FL + DR / 4 would be simpler and more accessible.

Ok expets take a look and tell me what you think,

DO i need to add/subtract some formulas?

Also what do the formulas need to = for me to highlight them, i.e. if it is equal to or greater than XXX then it will be BOLD and BLUE

Thanks for your input guys.
