I was planning on becoming a Chef prior to the announcement of the revamp but after seeing the new list of foods and how lame they are I have changed my mind. I feel for you people that are currently Chefs and had a thriving business. I dont think too many people will be buying your goods like they used to after the revamp however. I have no interest in paying high dollar for something that only last a short duration when I can get the samething out of an Enhancement forever. I suggest you stock up on what you can currently make...sell high....and then change professions to something you will be able to make money at again. Sorry Sony...you goofed on this revamp.

Don't you just love how change brings out the rays of sunshine?
What about people who use food to break the +25 cap enforced on enhancements?
What about foods that give bonuses that enhancements don't have? I don't know about you, but I doubt there's a clothing/armor/tissue that gives damage reduction or reduce incap time.
And there's still the "bread and butter" stat buffs. Maybe they're not as "uber" as before, but if you're going to give up even that edge....well, hope you have enough crates of Angerian to last until you quit or change servers.

Thankyou kindly for your words of wisdom about how we should run our businesses after the patch. Unfortunatly I disagree with you and do think the food will sell. Maybe not in the quantities it has previously and certainly people will need re-educating but quite honestly, this revamp is not as bad as you make it out to be in any way.
The whole point of the new system going live is so the devs can monitor the impact this new food has and reflect on it after it has been live for a while.
Kind Regards,
Tally, Master Chef of Eclipse

I actually decided to become a chef after I read about the revamp and new foods. People will use whatever they can to get a little extra boost in stats no matter how small. The only change I see is the wider range of food which will be used by many different profs, which means more customers and more money.

Considering people bought food back when it was totally bugged or partially bugged I'm guessing they will now too.
I guess I'm still confused on what people expected the revamp to be. Did people expect weapon speed bonuses from food or dmg increases? I'm actually amazed at how many different stats are able to be buffed. Hunting skill is one I never imagined. Surveying either, but I thought the devs had more common sense to not put that one it. I was wrong.
Obviously everone is dissapointed by the stat buffs. Very few good food stat buffs to me is an issue. The penalty before was that you couldn't take anything else. I don't expect to get the same buff and then be able to add something else to that. I expect to have the same buffs with the same penalties.

I also decided to become a Chef after I saw the changes. I like the idea of making enhancement items with such a wide diversity.

I started a crafting character, and it was a choice betweem DE and Chef for the last of my points. Actually it was not very hard of a choice really. Pity the poor DE's.
