Thread: Question: Which of these will affect the quality, etc, of the final food?

G'day all,

I've seen varying things that say many components will no longer affect the final food product with the upcoming patch? So it got my curious as to what exactly WOULD affect the final food or drink? It would be helpful to know so that I could start stockpiling cheaper, lower quality resources.

"Does it affect the quality of the final product? Yes/No"

Containers (for drinks):

1. Quality or resources used - Yes/No

2. Quality of resources used on component items (Trim, etc) - Yes/No

3. Experimentation on component items (Trim, etc) - Yes/No

4. Experimentation on container - Yes /No

BE Additives:

5. Quality of resources used - Yes/No

6. Experimentation on Additive - Yes/No

7. Quality of Water used to create the additive - Yes/No

Final Product:

8. Quality of resources used in component items (alcohol, etc) - Yes/No

9. Experimentation on component items (alcohol, etc) - Yes/No

10. Quality of resources for final product and experimentation - (I'm guessing that's still a big Yes)

Alrighty, that's all I could think of. If there's anything else that affects the final food that I've missed, do please add it along with an answer, and responses to any/all of the above would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Containers:
No for all four questions, just get crap resources.

BE:
Only thing that can be experimented on is the BE tissue. When we make the additive, it is not experimentable therefore the water quality does not matter.

Final product:
Component quality does not matter so their is no experimentation and the quality of resources does not matter. But the food itself is experimentable.

Good lord! Nice one stang.

However, the quality of resources the BE puts into the additive I assume will affect it's final quality, and how well it works?

In which case... that means the only thing that truly concerns us, material quality wise, is the resources we put into the final food and the experimenting we do on it? Sweet!

Now where did I put all those low oq metals and floras??

Cheers!

Yeap, you got it right. Only experimentation and resources that matters is in the final product and in the BE tissues. Components, additives, and containers can be made with crappy resources and no experimentation.

Be tissues so for a med broad spectrum nutrients the organic, flora and creature food does matter? I thought the quality did not matter only in the ingredients we put in to making our food

Well, from what I can see on the new food list (cheers sciguy!) the additives have ranged values attached to them. Therefore, I'd imagine that good resources + good BE exp = high range additive

rubbish resources + crap exp = low range additive.

I'm guessing this is how it works.

BE tissue resources matter, additive resources do not matter. The best BE tissue with the best water will make the same additive as the best BE tissue with the worst water.

That is correct. At least for the time being.

I assume he means the resources the BE uses to MAKE the tissue. The light carboreductive catalyst, for example, needs 20 organic, 20 domestic meat and 20 wild meat. The quality of these resources, and the experimenting the BE does to them when combining, DO matter. The water we add to this to in fact make it an additive, does NOT matter.

Hmmm... right?
