Thread: What would a good price for fishak be +495mind 908s???
Normally that stuff goes anywhere from 60K up to 90k all depends on your server's economy. I'm very impressed with your duration of that. I don't think I have ever gotten the time that long
With the buzz of the revamp coming I know a lot of players that would pay the 90k price. Just my input have a great one!

Pre patch food will reamain as is. The only thing people are not sure of is whether a schematic will work or not. My suggestion is to make what you want before the patch and not rely on the schematic.
No one knows for sure (at least from what Ive read) what will happen to pre patch schematics. The closest I have heard on the subject is that pre patch FWG5 schematics did not work when the patch hit. Your safest bet is to make it now while you can and have a few schematics for back up.
Swijr- if you are a master chef (not sure if you are or are just browsing the forums and plan on stockpiling some fishak) I would suggest not marking up your fishak simply for customer relations. I personally would feel cheated if my long time chef suddenly increased prices. Again this is just my opinion. But to answer your question, YES you can up the price and people will pay for it.
Adding on to this: How you run your restaurant will determine your future profits. New Chefs are coming onboard all the time, so in the future you are going to need to stay competitive (in a friendly way). Word of mouth, believe it or not, accounts for a good percentage of your advertising - which relates to more profits in the future. If you jack up the prices NOW enough to where its a 100% mark up - people will pay that amount (especially the hardcore pvp'rs), however you need to weigh in the potential risk of turning away future potential consumers. For example, if someone spends 2k to come see your vendor, only to find out that you have inflated an item to beyond what they would be willing to pay - then you have an 80% chance of losing all of their future business (worst case scenario). Or, if you have your hardcore pvp'r actually buy that product - I can guarantee you that once the patch gets published - you won't be the first person that they come see (best case scenario); and if you are struggling to sell your wares - that lost business could really HURT. My reccommendation: Add on an additional 10% - 20% due to the rarity of the resource.
Bottom line: Market price IS whatever people are willing to pay for it. But keeping the future of your business in mind is generally a wise idea when making the decision to increase your prices due to this patch.
Mesmira,
I'm wondering what kind of stack you have on the 25 crate Fishak? The asking price would certainly be tied to the economy of your server. On Ahazi, Fishak sells so quickly it makes my head spin. I have spent the majority of my Master Chef days focusing exclusively on Angerian Fishak, Bivoli Tempari, Glazed Glucose, Corellian Fried Ice Cream and Dweezle. They are all huge sellers and quite profitable.
Most of this information will not likley be useful for you after the 12th, but I quickly learned the Ahazi gang likes max buff, good duration and less emphasis on quantity provided it's reasonable.
All the Fishak I make now is from +601 to +618 mind for 810-830 seconds in stacks of either 5 or occassionally 6 (only 10 experimentation points and good resources). As long as I meet the 600/800/5 standard, I charge 80K per crate. I sell out of Fishak within just a few hours with extremely high demand for more! I had often considered only making Fishak and Bivoli to cut down on resource requirements and storage stockpiles, but it gets old making the same thing all the time.
I would recommend you tour the galaxy and compare other Chef prices on your galaxy to determine the optimum fair price in your specific economy (both pre and post patch).
Thanks,
Asur (Master Chef)
