Logged in my master chef the other day and made a bunch of great PvP foods like BE Canape, Brandy, Synthasteak, ect. Went to bestine, saw a bunch of rebels attacked so I downed my combo of foods, then started fighting, not long till I died. Cloned, tried to take my combo again, and I was full. Now I have to wait 45 mins (supposed to be 30mins) before I can take that again, so now until then, I'm totally useless in PvP. I cannot survive as a rifleman w/o this. My focus is 800 base and I wasn't wearing armor even. Now who will use the defensive buffs like Poison resist, when they can't even take the essential buffs?

Actually I sort of like this idea, although I understand where you are coming from about the 45 minute timer. Let me explain.

Stuffing ourselves full of multiple buffs should make you pretty full and take a while to wear off. Taking one buff for food and for mind, will almost always allow you to take a smaller follow-up one.

The point really I want to make about PVP is that the most annoying thing about PVP is the die, clone, run back in, attack. I hate that. Battles are the most fun, when you go down, it is over. TEF revenge wars in a city are the most boring and annoying thing in the world. A charge to a base where you either take it, or the enemy repels you is fun for me.

To each their own though. My only suggestion to you is, don't uber buff yourself, take small bites and dont woof down the food I was able to take continuos food buffs during a raid because I saved the big ones till when I really needed them.

You can take buffs like reduced damage like 45 minutes before the fight because it effects the number of hits and not the time, and then down the brandy when you start the fight.

Yes, I hate the group tef clone zerging, but I'm not going to let an Imperial city be over run by them. And yes you can ration yourself, but when you die in bestine, run back up to the hill to declare and immediatly there is 3 TKAs and Commandos waiting to grouptef pointblank gank you so you have to clone again.. its not enough. I died like 20 times that fight. Rationing would maybe let me be partially buffed 5 lives max.

I don't care what your taking. But if it's you vs 3 TKA's and 3 Commando's ....your just asking for a trip the the clone facility

It was exaggerated, and it wasn't me solo, it was group v group. But it doesn't matter if it was me versus 3000 people, the point is in most PvP you die fast, and often, and it limits the usefulness of Chef buffs.

I had the same experience with my guild when we had soem rebels in our town.

I did the same thing, I down my food combinatino of Vesarian Brandy and Synthsteak and got into the fight.

I suck at PVP, always have so it wasn't long before I got incapped and all my buffs were gone. My filling meters were maxed out and I had no buffs after being incapped, not killed just once.

Now I have really been defending the new food a lot but I was really unhappy when I saw this. So basically food is useless for PVP. I mean what is the point of having a 45m duration on a medeocre buff (thanks again to the smugglers for nerfing Vesarian Brandy) if you can lose the buff in 5 and not be able to get another for 30 minutes.

Food would still be somewhat good for hunting (just nothing big) but I really want the devs to take a good look at this and make sure this is what they want food to be like.

This brings up another question though, if you lose all your buffs when you get incapped does Starshine Surprise actually work? or would the buff just vanish once you got incapped the first time.
