Thread: T'illa-T'iil percentages screwed up...?

T'illa-T'ill takes three kinds of gases, Alcohol, Drink Container, and an optional Food Additive. None of which supply potential energy or flavor values (although the additive can supply a bonus.)

So, why is it that potential energy and flavor are the most important (66%) factors in determining quantity and filling values, respectively?

And another question regarding T'illa-T'iil:

One of the gasses is Hydron-3 gas, right? Does this even exist? I never seem to see it spawn on Corbantis. It it a rare spawn? All of my resource dealers look at me funny when I mention it to them.

Thanks!

I've seen Hydron-3 on Starsider, and lots of it, so it exists.

Just hope it spawns on your server soon.

Because the dev's hate us (see also: Garrmorl and Durindfire)?

Seriously, there could be a couple reasons behind it. Those were the same resources T'illa T'ill had before the revamp, so maybe they just wanted to minimize the changes. Also, the "max" filling and quantity might have been set to be at 33% (the most you can experiment to assuming you have 1000 DR/OQ gases). In fact, I think that quantity is pointless to experiment on anyway, I've never been able to get more than a single use out of it, even using large glasses or casks.

My guess, though, is that this slipped through the same as Garrmorl and Durindfire: the experimental percentages were set up without noticing that the all the required resources lack certain stats. When at least one resource has (or can have) the listed stat then everything works fine.

Those particular types of inert gas do seem to be on the rare side of things, but they do pop up occasionally. If swgcraft was back up, you could check therefor the last spawn on your server.

As a final note, I really don't think T'illa T'ill is that useful, unless you have some final food that you really want to squeeze in and don't use drinks. The filling is too high IMO for its benefit.

Although maybe a filling additive would make a difference...

There is one use for it that I know of, and a significant use at that. Buffing doctors.

A doc sitting in Coronet buffing people is eating food almost exclusively. Bivoli and Havla, and maybe a shot of brandy now and again to keep up with the Havla-aided buffing. Muon can of course be substituted for brandy, so there's certainly no necessity to using a filling additive in T'illa T'ill (and, from the trial batches that I convinced a chef friend to make -- albeit after I brought him all 3 gases --, I don't think the filling additive makes sense anyway...).

So, a dose of T'illa T'ill every 30 minutes (assuming that stomach decay is linear) allows one to take maybe 1.75 extra doses of Havla every hour. Maybe 2 full doses. That's at least 4, and probably more like 5 additional insta-buffs every hour (assuming 2.5 per dose of havla).

Even if this is the only use for T'illa T'ill in the entire SWG universe, it is a significant use. The same doctors that come to my shop every two days and spend upwards of a mil on more buffpacks would, if properly educated, also be buying T'illa T'ill to go with their bivoli and havla.

Of course, I wouldn't be writing this if I had convinced a chef on my server of what a goldmine this stuff should be. They all refuse to watch swgcraft for the next spawn of one of the three gases...

Anyway, I hope someone starts making it, and makes the killing on it that they rightfully should. I keep thinking about going Doc/Chef, but I just can't give up surveying 4...
