Thread: Havla over 100?

I can't seem to get my Havla over 96, and I'm told it's no good if it's under 100.

I'm using a +84 nutrition medium additive, great oats, and pretty good tubers.

What is the trick?

And why does it *have* to be over 100?

Your resources just aren't good enough in the area affecting the Havla recovery time bonus (PE and OQ). How high are you hitting when you experiment Nutrition? With an 84 additive, you need to hit somewhere around 70-75%. If you can't experiment Nutrition to at least 80% before capping the category, I don't really think you can say you've got great resources. You're going to want 66% PE + 33% OQ >= 800.

The reason it has to be over 100 is that it's bugged (the same applies to Ruby Bliel, except that drink can't hit 100 even with an additive).

It's supposed to give a percentage decrease to the downtime medics/doctors/CMs get after doing a heal action (heal damage, heal wound, buff, CM poison/disease delivery). For example, when a Medic heals wounds, they have to wait 30s before they can heal another one (doctors get a bonus to wound heal speed). If they used a 50 bonus Havla, that wait time is supposed to be reduced to 15s. Right now, if a medic took a 50 bonus havla, used a wound pack, waited 5s and tried again, they'd see the message "You have to wait 10s before doing that". If they wait an additional 10s and try to use a wound pack, they get the message "You must wait before doing that action again". So somewhere in the code there are two timers being tracked: one for the countdown value, and one for the time when you can do the heal action again. Havla is apparently only effecting the countdown.

Now, if you get Havla to 100 or above, you get a 100% reduction in the wait time, meaning that the wait is reduced to zero. This seems to bypass the timer completely, allowing Medics, Doctors, and CMs to spam heal actions with no wait. IIRC, they do still get the "must wait to do that action" message, but it fires anyway.

Havla and heal recovery time reduction has several bugs and the first is that unfortunately, 100 is the minimum amount for it to have any effect at all. There is no sliding scale, it either reduces heal recovery time to 1 second or it has no effect at all. Ruby bliel, the slightly less powerful version of havla has no effect at all and is currently a worthless product by the way as it does not reduce heal recovery time at all. Another issue with havla is the duration. It currently does not work for the full stated duration in its description. My current havla is listed as 28 heals for the duration in the description but testing shows it works for more like 25 heals.

Oh, and one more thing:

An 84 BSN is fine for making Havla. In fact, I generally pick up cheap, low-bonus BSNs (81-83) and use 800+ PE/OQ tubers and oats. The amount of experimentation required to hit 100 doesn't change much with the additive quality, you just have to be able to hit 100.

Thanks for all of the great responses!

At least I know it can be done with the +84, so I'll experiment with different resources some more. I think I primarily need to find some better tubers.
