When out hunting or PvPing I find it very important to keep my stomach food/drink fill as low as possible so I can take things like brandy and canape, or special defence foods like Thakitillo. What foods/drinks can be take prior (an half or more)that don't have duration limitations?

For example Synthsteak reduces the next X attack by Y percent.

Can I take Smuggler's Delight before a battle and have the next spice downer's duration reduced?

Or, can I drink Tilla-T'ill before a battle and have my next Stomach Filling(Food) reduced X percent?

Are the above examples correct? Are there other foods I could take some time before a combat and gain the benifit when a condition is met?

Any "delayed trigger" foods can be eaten early, and the bonus saved. These would be foods that require some specific action for their effect to occur. Synthsteak works (the trigger is any attack that hits you), and so would Smuggler's Delight (the trigger is taking a spice). T'illa T'ill wouldn't, since it gives an immediate reduction to your food fill bar, it doesn't just reduce the filling of the next food eaten. Some other foods falling into this category would be Starshine / Cavallian Creams (reduce incap time on next incap), and Havla (reduce heal recovery time for next X heals).

However, these do have a hard timer of 60m, so you can't keep the effect longer than that. So if you take a synthsteak good for 30 attacks, the bonus will last for 30 attacks or 60m, whichever comes first.
