Nope, there is exactly a 1% difference above what you could make without additives with +86 vs. +87. Let's say you can make +230 brandy with no additives at all. That would be +427 brandy with +86 adds and +430 with +87. I use +89 exclusively when making my top brandy. but in the big picture, it's not that huge a difference. Just bragging rights.

Its 1% of the base value.
For brandy its aroung 2.3 points. That means usually its just +2 points sometimes its +3, depending on how its rounded by the game.

For stuff like Pyollian Cake, you probably won't notice a difference between +84% and +88%. The base value here is +5 to +10, you only notice a difference if +84 brings you short before +15 (like 14.8) and +88% over 15 (would be around 15.1 then)

For Vercupti with a base buff of 500 1% would actually be +5 more.

So it always depends.

Wheeee... I have 1% better brandy than most. It's not that big a thing, once again, not worth too much other than bragging rights.
