Thread: Certain foods and drinks in crates bugged?

A few months ago, I saw a crate of pre chef revamp Flameout. Thrilled, I asked the owner if he would get me one. He said he would oblige, but when he want to get one from the crate,he got the email that the item was no longer in game and please delete it. Well, I thought maybe it was just that crate of old Flameout. Today, someone gave me an old crate of Flameout and yet again, the same problem. Does anyone have any old crates of pre chef revamp Flameout? When you get one from the crate, do you get a similar email? It also happened to me with Dweezel. Every other old food in crates has worked. I guess there is nothing they can do to make my old crate work...

Well... the email sais all.
The item is no longer in the game, and so it won't be removed from the crate.

This must be an unintentional bug. The pre chef revamp foods were supposed to remain untouched (well not the graphics of a few). I think I will send a bug report. A chef told me all of his Flameout crates do not work, so it seems to be an issue with just Flameout (and maybe Dweezel).

All changed foods do this, flameout's stats were changed, same with pre revamp BoH.

Thats not how I meant it.
Of course every food was changed, but basicly noone uses any PRE-revamp version of those, and the ones made after the revamp work of course.
Now there are two different versions of pre-revamped food:
a) Stuff thats no longer craftable like Fishak or Wedding Cake or whatever was around back then (wasn't a Chef there so don't really know much about that)
b) Stuff like Flameout that has different stats now and even needs different resources, basicly is a complete new item.
Stuff like a) most likely exists in the SWG database as exactly the same entries as before. They were just taken out of the Crafting tools making it no-craftable. At least thats my suspicion.
B) was changed completely, the old version most likely doesn't exist for SWG anymore.
Hence the game recognizes Fishak etc, while it consideres Flameout as bugged or old or something and sends the email.

I agree with you. I have many crates of pre chef revamp food (whose names still exist), but most of them have the same or nearly the same ingredients as their new food/drink (Veghash, Almond Kwevvu Crisp Munchies, Blob Candy, Breath of Heaven, Blood Chowder, Caf, Teltier Noodles, Vegparsine, Havla, Ormachek, Synthsteak, Dust Crepe, Bofa Treat, Travel Biscuits, Ruby Bliel, Spiced Tea, Starshine Surprise, Bivoli Tempari, Durindfire, Felbar, and Thakitillo). So I guess the only pre revamp Dweezel or Flameout (and possibly others) I can get are the ones which were taken out of the crate before publish 6! Well, I hope SOE fixes this bug, since collecting isa large part of my gaming.

Ikooga, every food was changed during the revamp, but perhaps some of the components of Flameout and Dweezel have caused some problems? Here is the evidence. First some background...
The old food components were:
Carbosyrup
Dough
Soypro
Protato
Puk (no longer craftable)
Bantha Butter
Pastebread (Now this is a pet food, not a component)
Sweet Cake Mix
Sullustan Gin (no longer craftable)
Kylessian Fruit Distillate (no longer craftable)
Aludium pu36 (no longer craftable)
Now Flameout needed a component no longer craftable, sullustan gin:
Flameout needed:
15 reactive gas
15 tubers
10 siliclastic ore
4 identical sullustan gin
15 tubers
10 siliclastic ore
4 identical sullustan gin
BUT, Angerian Fishak Surprise needed:
20 fruits
20 reactive gas
1 carbosyrups
2 Aludium pu36
Aludium pu36 is also extinct and I can still get Angerian Fishak Surprises from the crate, so it couldn't be the no longer craftable component?
For Dweezel, it used a component which no longer is a component, but an ediblefood:
Dweezel needed:
20 berries
20 tubers
10 fruit
1 pastebread
20 tubers
10 fruit
1 pastebread
Well, if anyone else has pre chef revamp Dweezel or Flameout check to see if you can take them out of the crate.

Well, I have an update! I have a loose pre chef revamp Flameout. A nice person gave me one they have. So, they still exist in the game although they cannot be taken out of crates. I guess this makes the Flameout even more special since crated ones are for now doomed to stay crated...
