I have recently aquired a master chef acct from a friend of mine and have a few questions that i need answered.

are there specific named resources that i should start gathering, if so what kind?

what kind of stats should i look for in the resources that i gather? i.e. is flavor more important than potential energy, etc?

what should i make? (i am in a guild with alot of jedi)

is 12 pts worth the time and effort to get?

plz any imput you have, let me know, even if it seems small, plz let me know

thank you

One piece of resource advice for all new chefs. You are going to need water - lots of water and then some. Collect water till you think you have enough to last you forever and then keep collecting it as you WILL run out soon, very soon.

Same for crystalline gemstone -if youhave 5 harvesters on a 90% spawn of it you will still use it faster than you can mine it.

Worry about HiQ resources only after your supplies of water and crystalline gemstone are sorted.

Oh and you will also need humungous amounts of fibreplast and inert petrochem.

And some more water, lots more water. And dont forget the gemstone. If you have a house full of 100k stacks of water and gemstone - YOU STILL WONT HAVE ENOUGH.

That is the best resource advice I could give to any new chef, apart from get plenty of water, and crystalline gemstone!!

Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you

Water

Crystalline gemstones

Fruits

Berries

Wheat

Ceral (Oats, Wheats, Rice)

Vegetables (Greens, Tubers)

we dont have many foods that require Specific Resouces. Like corellian wine = Corellian Wheat. maybe 4 foods max need stuff like that.. Everything else is general. But, Try to get all your resources with High OQ/PE over anything else.. But, some foods will require High OQ/DR. But, Thats a different road to take.

Hope this helps

yes, water and crystalline gemsone most definately, and don't worry about stats on the gemstone, or on the water you'll be using only in components. Also stock up on trim for casks. If your chef doesn't have 0-0-1-0 Tailor, you'll have to find a tailor to make it for you. It's best to buy it infull runs of 40 crates. If you can't find any on vendors, find the name of the tailor and send them an email asking if they can sell you full runs of trim, most of them are more than happy to do so. When you come to other resources that require good stats, look mostly at OQ, PE, and DR. Each food has a different combination required to get great stats on the finished product. Also stock up on grind oats, wheat, or rice, you'll need alot of it for alcohol. Alcohol is a component, so you will never need to worry about the quality of the resource. I myself use ALOT of high quality oats and fruits. I would suggest stocking up on those...As far as anything else, I would ask around and shop around, see what other chefs are selling and find out what sells well, then (at least to start out) narrow down what you will keep your vendors stocked with to about 8-10 things. You don't want a bunch of stuff that won't sell sitting on your vendors forever. Anyway, when you firgure out what you want to start making, check out your food crafting tool - it will tell you what resources you'll need.

The food I sell most is: Breath of Heaven (BOH), Thundercloud, Deuterium Pyro, Blob Candy, Vegesparsine, Crispic, Canape, Bespin Port, and Pyollian Cake. I keep only these and maybe a couple other things on my vendors, and only make other foods if people request it. I think there are a couple of threads posted on the forum of what people sell the most of. Everyone will have slightly different answers, but check them out and figure out what's best for you. Hope this helps, good luck
