I need an UPDATED guide for post CU grinding for Chef please. If you can send me the direct link that would be cool. I keep reading old outdated stuff pre-CU to grind and some of the stuff no longer is even in the game. I have a novice Chef alt and just want to know post CU as far as what to grind, branch, and so on. Thanks in advance!

Oh and one thing, you CANNOT make and eat Soypro anymore! LMAO Please change this on the FAQ! Make yes, eat it no.

I used that FAQ to grind out Chef and it worked fine for me. The only thing you can't use if the "make and eat" method but you already know that.

Isn't grinding the same in any profession? Whatever uses to the most resources.. grind that and you'll get more xp.

Ingredients and experience did not change for chef in the CU. The last chef change of that nature was the chef revamp long long ago.

I read through the grinding FAQ and other than the fact that you can't eat the soypro right now (which may change yet again) everything else in the grinding section is current. There as least one link in that FAQ that is outdated--but remember, that FAQ isn't on the SWG forums and isn't in control of the correspondent. The information in it would be horrid to lose because of one or two outdated links in it. The section for non-chefs isn't updated for the CU, but the post-CU food chart is referenced in several places.

At least for grinding, resourcing and selling, it is a fabulous reference and tells a chef exactly what they need to do and how they need to do it. In case we are not looking at the same one, the link is here:

There are a few reasons I haven't updated that FAQ. As many people have said, the majority of the information in it still applies post-CU. Higginsis had made mention of a re-write he was working on (although I suspect that he got held up because he wanted to include the updated stacking rules, and that took longer than expected for the devs to publish). After the CU, I've drifted away from Chef, since I found combat to be more interesting than pre-CU (one reason I took up crafting to begin with). I've also been debating moving it over to the swg wikipedia so that it's not dependent on any single person to keep it up to date.

I thought I had mentioned this in the FAQ, but I can't seem to find it: anyone who wants to is free to copy any section of that document for any purposes they see fit. All I ask is a small credit. I don't claim any "ownership" of the information, since a lot of it I gathered from other people's posts to begin with.

They are out of date, and i've been working on a new FAQ, but RL has been taking up more time than i can manage atm, with my college and work loads and actually trying to have a social life i haven't been able to work much on a new FAQ.

The plan is to have 2 distinct FAQ's. One for Chef and BE questions, help grinding, tips for running a successful business, a new chef FAQ (using the question thread in the stickies).

The tricky part is the second FAQ, the customer FAQ. Actually sifting through the Raw data given by the Devs and putting it all together into a actual working food guide is proving too tricky for me to manage, especially with the little time i have to spare to make it.

I've not totally ignored them, honest. I've got 2 weeks off at the end of this month (which overlaps the Ep3 release day, so all day star wars that day ) and i'm hoping to get it done then.
