Hello all,

I posted this in the Jedi forum, but then thought to post it here cus a chef will probably have the best answers.

About a week ago there was a thread in the Jedi forumtelling us that we only needed to take one defensive type of food, ranged or melee, based on what type of weapon we carry. Well to me this doesn't make sense and has me confused regarding what foods to take. Since I'm a powers Jedi I'm sort of ranged, but with a saber in hand it makes me melee. So should I take a melee defense food or a ranged defense food, or both in my case?

If some of you can help me out I would really appreciate it. What I'm looking for is a good list of foods/drinks to take for PVP that will all be able to be taken without over filling.

Template is: Master Powers, sabers 0404, healer 4000, defender 0040, enhancer 2000

Thanks, in advance, for the help.

P.S. Are all food and drink mods working as intended, or is this on a list to be fixed later?

"Buffs"

Here are the rules:
Health: Medium priority
Health Regeneration: Low priority
Action: High priority
Mind: High priority

Reasoning:
* The faster the Jedi are, the more Action they need. Look for "Action Regeneration" on the food. Sap and Stun can easily render most MLS templates useless if they dont watch themselves. A duel without Action quickly turns to a slow-hitting dance in which two tired Jedi can barely hurt eachother more than they regenerate.
* Since Publish 19, Jedi will now use Mind for heals.Look for "Mind Regeneration" on the food. Sap and Stun can be a real curse againstJedi/Doctor templatesif they dont watch themselves.
* When to select between health and action, remember that you can heal Health. Many good foods give Health+Action in one food, but you cannot in any way restore your actionbar other than waiting, or use food.
* When to select between Health and Health regeneration, remember that you are a Jedi, your heals are your regen. You just need enough to survive until you get the heals made.
* Ignore this list if you are not a Healer/Doctor/Combat Medic. Other rules apply to them, since the rest do not use Mind as we do. For your alt, consider Breath of Heaven/Neutron Pixie instead. If you got any, donate them to someone who arent a doctor, they need it more than you.

Defense Food:
Elshandruu Pica Thundercloud (Drink):
+90 Ranged Defense, FILL: 17 (3:06min), DURATION: 17min (BROKEN)
Vegeparsine (Food): +100 Melee Defense, FILL: 27 (8:06min), DURATION: 16min (BROKEN)
Vayerbok (Drink): +10 Block, FILL: 20, DURATION: 16min(Estimated number (BROKEN)

Elshandruu Pica Thundercloud and Vegaparsine is currently *BROKEN*.

can check it out here: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=jedi&message.id=899326

I don't think that covers it since it says that Vegeparsine& Pica are broken.

The consensus is finally that they are NOT broken. Now the only iffy thing about them working is that some say you only need Vegeparsine if you're melee and only need Pica if you're ranged. This is debatable but please let's stop spreading the rumors about them being broken.

If you're jedi and use both ranged & melee attacks you might benefit from both - personally I don't have a jedi so I don't really know.

would those sets you put on the thread be good for a swordsman/doc/other sh!t template? or is that just for jedi?

KID22, thanks for the reply. Still a bit confused, but here's alist of food and drinks I thought would work together for my template, assuming that all the foods work properly and are not broken. I tried it in game today and it doesn't overfill my stomach, so that's good I guess.

Can I ask you what you think of this food/drink set? Kepp in mind my template, which is...

Master Powers, sabers 0404, defender 0040, healer 4000, enhancer 2000

Vayerbok - for more block with saber

Pikatta Pie - for more dodge

Thundercloud - for ranged defense against bh's (people tell me not todrink it anymore, but I'm a ranged Jedi so I'm lost.)

Vegeparsine - for melee defense with my saber

Deuterium-puro - more ranged accuracy, cus Powers Jedi have such low acc

Crsipic - melee accuracy cus I'm not a sabers master

Ruby Bliel - so I can use stims faster instead of always force healing

Blob Candy - action regen

Spiced tea - mind regen

When my stomach empties a bit during the fight I'll drink a mando wine. I also use buff crystals from village for increasing health and mind stats.

Anyways, can you tell me what you think of that combo of foods and drinks? Should I add/remove anything? Any help appreciated greatly.

Thanks again.

You need to use Vegeparsine (melee defence) since you will be holding your weapon while in combat even when using powers at the time. Defence is related to the weapon you have in your hand/s.

You do not need to use Pica thundercloude.

Other foods to use that boost your defence would be:

vayerbok(block)

Pitakatta pie or air cake(dodge)

Exo-protein wafers (damage mitigation [reduction])

They can be eaten all at once without filling up your stomach/drink space.

So, all those foods I listed inmy last post are good to take, except for thundercloud?I already had the vayerbok and pikatta pieon my list.

I will try adding exo-wafers to my diet as well in place of the thundercloud.

Thank you.

Two questions why should only defenders eat air cake, does it have to do with way dodge works. or what. Also will Breath of heavan, and canape stack, or Mando and Won-wons stack, since they both buff the same stuff.

defenders only eating air cake i don't know, i like it even on my nonjedi chars.

BoH and canapes do stack, and mando wine and won-wons do stack, but mando doesn't stack with canapes or BoH with won-wons so be sure you know which you want.
