the chefs really lied in the guides. The best way to grind depends on the letter your name starts with. Sony wanted to personalize it as much as they could. I suggest you PM thunderheart to find the best route for your starting letter.

Hey I got chef for my third holo so I need to grind it out. I'm a combat character so crafting is new to me, whats a good, quick way to get this done painlessly? Can it be done using macros or will I just have to bite the bullet and grind away in my house or where ever else I find suitible?

Im in the same boat as you, though I have read up on some of this chef profession I still want to be able to grind it out as quickly as possible.

best way is to get loads of corn, wheat and water
then grind wastril bread untill your up to mixology 2
from then on grind ithorian mist up till master chef.....
its slow but it'll get you there eventualy
