Thread: Grinding Chef: Before or After the patch?

Hi, my profession for my third holoron said Chef, so I want to work on becoming a Master Chef after I finish Master Smuggler and Master Pistoleer. BUT I am not going to master pistoleer unless I find out I can master Chef AFTER this chef revamp patch which I heard is coming out on the 3rd of February.
Is anything being nerfed to grind up the Chef tree, or is it going to be the same (Wastril bread then the other stuff in Mixology II)?

Unless 21 exp per item through the same exp requirements we have now sounds like a fun grind, you may want to try to get as much of it done before the revamp as you can.

21? Where did you get that?
I just tested some stuff...still getting 178 exp for ithorian mist.

Some posters have said that that is the highest XP available in novice chef. In which case getting to the mists will take 33000 - 77000 worth of it. Or 1572 - 3660 combines. Depending upon what is available in the first blocks. Now I can't confirm this directly mind you and it's still just two blocks but that is a lot of clicking in the worst case.

I understand wastril bread is gone...so I assume she means a replacement for that.

True, but now it takes two components (an alcohol and a container), so it's a bit more of a challenge to grind. I'm hoping something good shows up in entrees or desserts, since with the container addition to drinks, items to grind may move away from those.
That first 32000 xp is going to be a real pain, though.

I just got Master today! At last! And god am I glad I've done all the work pre-revamp.
