Actually, I'm wondering myself about the specifics. What level of "Tissues" skill in BE is needed for the various types? Are all lights atNovice? 0010? Two at novice, two at 0010?

Oh, and just to be technical, chefs make additives: light at Dom Arts 4, medium at Novice Chef, and Heavy at Master chef. They require a "Light/Medium/Heavy food biological component" which is what the BE's make.
Great, more terminology to remember...

Are additives required in foods in order for them to be of any use and for them to actually sell? Because I've heard that there isn't much demand for food that doesn't had additives.

Additives are not required, but are defenitely worth adding as an optional component.
As for sales, considering how hard it is to get bulk chef tissues, people should really be happy with the new stuff as it is...many of the new items are very handy, even without the Additives.

That's one of the big topics of debate for this revamp. I've been getting some positive reactions for some of the foods I've put up for sale (all non-enhanced), but that might be because of the newness of everything. Once customers get over the fact that their regular purchases of Angerian, Ryshcate, Bivoli, and Correlian Ice cream are gone, they start to see that the new offerings have some good points to them.
The BE enhanced foods will obviously be "better", but not everyone agrees whether or not this makes non-enhanced foods useless. The availability of Krayt tissues doesn't make non-Krayt pistols pointless. Then again, Krayt tissues are a bit harder to come by than BE tissues. And a purchase of a Krayt-enhanced gun will last a combat character, what, several weeks, maybe even over a month (I have no idea how fast weapons decay), while a crate of food could get used up in a matter of days.
There's probably going to be a demand for non-enhanced foods, just like there is for non-enhanced guns, non-enhanced clothes (maybe a bad example since non-enhanced clothes are simply a fashion statement), armor without special looted panels, etc. What's still up in the air is whether that demand will be enough to allow a market for multiple chefs without a BE partner, or who can't/won't take BE skills.
Just because Porsches are available doesn't mean that Geo Metros won't sell. In my opinion, I think that non-enhanced food will definitely sell to starting characters (who won't be able to afford the enhanced versionin any quantity), players who deal mainly with low-to-mid level PvE, and the few people who like having food and drink for roleplaying purposes. But the hard-core power gamers who like to solo Kimos/Nightsisterand dedicated PvPers who want the biggest edge they can get will always want the absolute best that is possible in the system, which is going to include enhanced food.

Non-Enhanced seem to be selling very well to lower end players. The guys who dont have 300k just to throw into some mind buffs ect. have really taken a liking to them.
Because of the extrememly high price of enhanced foods, you get more bang for your buck from the non-enhanced. +350 to all mind stats are good enough for many people, +700 would just be overkill for 10x the price.
But hey, if your a Rich player going after the uber mobs then the enhanced stuff is just what your looking for.

I didn't see this covered in the FAQ so I'm asking here. let's say I have 2 crates of heavy tissues, for the sake of argument one has a serial number of 1 and the other has a serail number of 2, now I make 2 seperate schematics, turning each batch into heavy additives, again, the crates are marked as serial 1 and serial 2, now let's say I make a schematic for 1 run of canapes that needs heavy additives, and the amount needed is equal to crate 1 and crate 2 of additives,
do those two crates HAVE to have the same serial number in order for the canapes to be made in the factory? I ask this cause it's hard finding tissue crates that have the same serial number.

The additive component does require identical serial numbers to do the food factory run, which means you need identical serial numbers for the tissues. If you make a canape schematic using an additve from batch #1, it won't use any from batch #2 (even if they have the same bonus).
So to use all those additives, you'd have to do two factory runs.

Ok I have a guildmate that is trying to provide me the additives. He hologrinded BE and unlocked soon after so he kept it. Especially with me making Master Chef at same time. So I need to know exactly what additives am I going to need by name so I can tell him this info. We have experimented with some, but he forgot which 1s he has tried. Thanks all for the help.
