Incase you don't feel like clicking on that link. Light/Medium/Heavy food additives are created by Bio Engineers. They are not required when making food however they will amplify the effects greatly.

nah that component is completely optional. What item are you trying to craft. You might be missing a required componet however BE Additives are not required. I always make items that are non BE Suped when I am doing some basic stuff such as Teltier Noodles for when I am just screwing around with surveying or some weak brandy for when I am DNA Sampling.

Keep in mind..some items "I.E Brandy" require factory crafted items as a component. i know that there are other items that require factory crafted ingredients to make.

You need to buy components from a BE. For example, BE can make broad spectrum nutrient, you have to make those into medium food additives by combining BSN with 15 units of water.

I think nanointellegent is heavy food additives, but I'm not sure.

There are two parts on the crafting schematic page. One says (Optional) while right below that it says (Required). Translating the computer geek english there, the component itself is (Optional) but the ingredient if you choose to usethat optional component is (Required) to make use of the optional component. I may not have done any justice there as it is confusing. Basically if you use theunneeded power up you must have this component to do so.

You are correct sir. Nanointellegent is the heavy.

My suggestion to you is: buy a schematic for medium BE components(broad spectrum nutrients).

If you are lacking in funds either borrow or grind grind BE.

Good luck
