If you read the excellent chef FAQ listed in the stickies then that should put you right. It has a list of things you can make to get to master chef and also a list of required ingredients. Mainly chefs use organic materials. The FAQ should answer most of your questions, it's more of a chef guide that's in a FAQ format.
