Thread: Overstock ? what do you do with all the crates ?

Well, casks don't require identical serial numbers, so you can re-use those in later factoryruns.
I usually carry around "spare" component crates to make up singles, either for myself or to put up on the bazaar as advertising (put vendor waypoint information, etc in the description).
I stopped advertising... sell too fast when advertising.
If casks dont need identical then why can't i use the casks i made in this run ?
About few days ago, i made a cask schematics but i changed the name to Cask1 so i don't mix up with the other casks meant for something else.
The factory woudlnt run it!! now i have 20 crates of Cask1 i can't use in anything.
Are we allowed to rename Cask schematics ? like renaming Cask to Cask1
Anyway. I have to destroy all the left over Dough, Carbosyrop, Medium and Heavy additive. But its such a waste of resources. Some in quantity of 23 or less.
Like i said, not enough to make a full crate.

Leave your components in the Output Hopper of the Factory and use what you need.
You can not leave them in your hopper forever... !
You will have to get them out of there sooner or later or your factory is going to be full and will stop running.
You can't use them to make full crate because there is not enough to make a great schematic.
I think you didn'tfully understandwhat i was talking about bro... To understand what i mean you have to be a mass productive chef who does only Crate runs (not to sell on bazzar but to put Full Crates on vendor).
Im talking about mass production with identical serial. Like making 50 crates of 25 foods in each crates.
So sometime (almost everytime) you make tons of crates you end up with few crates of SUB components left over.
The identical serial for Dough or any Sub components in foods is really annoying.

My question is, what do you guys do with left over stock ?
Well, I plan better than you do, I guess.
Why do you have leftovers? 2 Runs of 1000 Dough + a run of 1000 Carbosyrup = two groups of 500 Canape, no leftovers. If you don't want to make full runs, that's fine... 400 carbo + 400 soypro = 400 Bivoli. I guess what you need to do is either actually have a purpose in mind when you make the subcomponent, or always deal with full runs (which seems easiest to me).
Well after about two weeks my factories start getting full of "crap" aka left over componets.
I then take half a day and go threw them.
I take however many odd and end bio componets I have and try to make alot of the lesser used / known foods.
I make some entertainer drinks / food. I make some partial crates of bio enhanced Artisan foods. Basically I just have some fun making differnt stuff.
The rest that I have left over after that... I delete.
Alot of times I have made stuff that sold AMAZINGLY well...now I stock it full time.
The reason i make factory run is precisely because i dont have time to hand craft.
what i do is i take the time it needs to make perfect schematics and start the factories... come back 24 hours later and theyre ready. Thats it thats all.
I beleive all veteran crafters are doing the same as i do... they dont hand craft anymore unless its for personal use or something.
If the serial could be removed from Alcool, dough, Additives, Soypro, Carbor.. that would fix part of the problem.. But you will still have extra resources left. Like having 214332 Fruits eventualy you will end up with 332 fruits or so left overwhich can't be usedto makeschematic runs.
In reality world, if you happen to walk near Factory plans you will see that they also dump their (left over materials) in their trash containers.
