I am starting to experiment with food, using different resources to get better stats. I have read and FAQ and i am still abit lost.
when you look at lets say meat resource it has a number of stats, and finished food has a number of stats. Whichs stats on the resources affects the finish stats on the food?.

It depends on what you experiment on. Generally there are 4 stats you can experement on:
- Filling - Reduces amount of room it takes up in the users stomach (food has a different bar to drink)
- Flavour - Increases the duration that the food buff lasts (brandy with 38mins for example)
- Nutrition - Increases the food's effect size (On brandy the amount of mind buff is increased, on veghash/bivoli the skill improvement is increased)
- Quantity - The amount of uses the item has. A base value is determined by the container used.
Now you may be saying "Yes I know about that but what about the resources?". For this, you need to look at the schematic for the item your producing, either through your datapad, crafting tool or a website such as allakahazam or SWGCraft. You should see "Experimental section, each section will be for one of the 4 value listed above such as "Experimental Filling". Under the headdin will be some values such as:
Experimental Filling
Filling
Decay Resistance75% (0.75)
Overall Quality 25% (0.25)
These values will will make up 100%, or nearly (33% + 66% are used for some stats). These values, if you haven't yet noticed match up with values on your resources. Some resources you use may not have stats listed however, for example water does not have a potential energy value, thus it is "0". The percentages listed are weighted stats, meaning the higher the percentage, the more important that stat on the resource is. We use this formula to calculate how good a resouce is:
(Resource Stat 1 * Experimental Stat 1) + (Resource Stat2 * Experimental Stat 2) = something out of 1000
Other version of the formula divide the result, this gives it out of 1000, the higher the value the better the resource. This formula can be modified to work with any muber of stats.
An importante note is to focus on one main experimental stat, you won't get a resource that is good for all stats (well it's hard to depending on the item + stats) unless they all depend on the same stats then you can. You have a limited amount of exp points to spend anyway so experimentation fully in more than 1 stat is limited.
Hope this clears things up a little, confused myself along the way so post if you get stuck, pretty easy when you understand it.

Right lets see if i have it
I am mking veghash and i want it to be strong in skill bonus, So i need it to have high nutrition.
Nutrition is made up from
33% Overall Quality
66% Potentail Energy
So if get resources with high PE I my nutriton will be high. And if I use a Medium food enhancer made with Broad-spectrum Nutrients this will boost my nutriton even more.
