Thread: Beginner Question
Flora Harvesters are used to gather anything you can survey with a flora survey tool, including the berries and fruit.
To use a factory you need to produce a draft schematic. To do this you go through the crafting process as normal but chose to make a draft instead of a prototype. You then go to the factory and under the Options tab in the radial you chose Access Schematic Slot(I think it is called). Then you chose theschematic you want to use. After you have inserted the schematic you open up the Input Hopper. Insert the ingrediants required to make the item. Now close the hopper go back to the radial. Chose Options and now you should see a Start button. Chose that and off she goes.Finished crated items will be in the output hopper.
- Buy a factory. You'll need one that matches the crafting tool you're using (so for food, you'll need a food/chem factory since that matches the food/chem tool).
- Place a factory. All factories take up one lot. The structural factory used to take up 2, that's no longer the case.
- Make a manufacturing schematic. After you've completed experimentation, there's an option to either "create prototype" (which makes a single item) or "create schematic". The created schematic is stored in your datapad. You need to be near a crafting station (either a public one in an NPC city, a private one in a player's house, or a droid with a matching crafting module) to make a schematic, but you need one of these to experiment anyway, so you probably have access to a station.
- Insert schematic into factory.
- Put resources into factory's input hopper. These must be the exact same resources used to make the schematic. If the schematic used subcomponents (dough, bantha butter, etc) you need to use ones with identical serial numbers (so you need to do a factory run of the components first, then use those to make the schematic of the final food). The only exception are drink containers, these do not require the same serial number.
- Add maintenance / power to the factory.
- Turn on factory
- Wait a while. Examining the factory while it's running will show you how long each item takes, as well as how many have already been manufactured. Once the factory run finishes (either because the manufacturing limit of the schematic is reached, or it runs out of resources) the factory will shut down and you will recieve an email.
- Take completed crates out of output hopper.
This was exactly what i was looking for - thanks a million both of you!
