I have both a 12point med exp and chef experimentation suit yet if i want merchant too i dont have enough skill points to master out BE. I like being self sufficient and when making tissues i have the full 12pts to experiment with--soooo are the tissues schematics given at master be that profound?

Except for the fact you won't be able to make the master box tissues for your chef

You'll need intelligent nanonutrients if you want to sell things like elshandruu pica thundercloud (ranged defense), vegeparsine (melee defense), BoH, mando wine, canape, vercupti, etc.
I'm sure some chefs out there can make due without INN's, but I wouldn't feel I was providing a complete service without offering foods that use them.

It is quite possible to be somewhat selfsufficient. I am Master Chef, Master Bio Engineer, Tailor 0010 (for trim) and novice Merchant (3 vendors and approx 700 items).
However, you will either need to buy your meats and other creature stuff from someone else. Or if you are fortunate enough to have an alt, you can supply yourself with whatever stuff you need if you make him a scout (or even go full monty as a Ranger).
Edit: Also have a few points left for some minor surveying in Artisan which I find a bit more usefull than more skills in merchant. That way I can place my own harvesters without any help at all. But if you want huge quantities of products on your vendor you my with some benefit trade your artisan surveying for an extra box or two in merchant. Or perhaps drop tailor entirely if you know someone who can make the schematics for you for the trim. Just thought I would mention that option.
