Hey guys,

I haven't played chef since before the first major patch, so i haven't been to these forums in sometime, and perhaps this has been brought up before.

On that note...

I think that Master Chef's should be allowed to create their own recipes. Using high quality resources to increase whatever stats they chose with a mix and match style of creation. It would create a uniqueness to each different chef while he creates his own special recipes. There are lots of ways to come up with variations to this, as well as additions, and i just figured i would open up the floor to you.

Say using a type of metal will increase constitution while decreasing quickness. Then you add a bit of milk which will increase your strength and constitution with no side effects....blah blah..this is just a start to what i think could be REALLY fun and would draw a lot more attention to the chef and his products. Let me know what you think, and i'll keep an eye on this post for a while. Hopefully you guys can add some ideas to this, and if this has all been talked about before...great....now start pushing for it! And i would like to preorder a crate of Mind/Focus/Will food. Thank you much!

I think this is a fabulous idea. It'd be pretty simple to have the ability to choose a built-in food model for your product, throw in your ingredients, and then save the thing as a schematic. I must point out though that foods will be pretty much useless until there's a greater need for them in game (either through losses from not eating or through extended gain from eating).

It is a good idea and I like it very much, but let me point out a few flaws, just for the sake of arguining

* It would take away the starwars feel a little bit. Its harder than you think to come up with your own recipie forfood in the starwars universe.

* Some power-gamer chefs (even though I dont think theres that many) would just makea recipie that fits their highest quality resources. This would ruin the RP feal a little bit.

* This kind of goes along with the second point... how do you detirme the quality of a buff, and what it buffs?

Thinking about the extreme non-linearity of this idea makes it fun, but really unfeasable.

Extending out this idea, you would have certain types of metals doing different damage types on weapons (iron = acid, steel = heat, etc.) and all with their own HAM costs/damage modifiers.

I don't think online games are hearty enough to support this system, the complexity of the current one (with randomly generated resources...hundreds of types and subtypes) is already pretty boggling.
