Thread: What Chef Items do you make and why?
I'm just curious - I know this has come up before in other guises. So ignore it if you want lol But I'm curious as to what you're making now and why? Is anyone else gated for resources too? (No, I don't mean milk only hehe).
Anyway, I'm making:
Ryshcate/Vegehash - for armor buffs
Vegeparsine
Tat Sunburns (go figure)
Thakitillo - got friends hooked on it ^_^
Corellian Fried Icecream (special requests and it's selling nicely) also some people buy one just for decor 
Bivoli Tempari - only when I can get good Carnivore meat and I have to do it by hand (not enough for factory runs)... but it's a really awesome mind buff that's not a drink!I end up using it more than my customers hehe
Angerian Fishak - everyone asks for it for mind, of course
Those have become my mainstays - the things I stock all the time. I'm having trouble finding factory time for more too =/ I've been asked to make a couple things I simply can't get the resources for - not of decent enough quality and not enough to do the factory runs the askers usually want. I really want to get some good oats/corn and meats so I can see just how good I can get some other foods to.
Next on my list of things to make/play around with will be Dweezel & Ice Blasters, I'm going to try some Flameout too since I haven't had a chance to play with it much (getting a hold of decent siliclastic ore really seems to be difficult!)
I also still make Rysch, Bivoli, Thak, sunburns.
Naritus is hard to talk about food wise as the "food economy" on Naritus is very good, everything sells.

Same with Corbantis now, the food economy is skyrocketing. I opened up 6 Coffee and Donut shops this last weekand things are selling like mad. I had a huge surplus of stuff made before opening the first 4 shops and only 2 days into the businessof renaming food to Coffee and Donut items, I've gotten requests to add Coffee and Donut vendors in other cites. I make all of the above foods/drinks but also the Flameout's sell nicely and I use them myself.. a +1600 health heal at the right time is awesome.. especially for an artisan who is out visiting harvesters and gets hit from behind by a nasty. My latest favorite is the Glucose Pate thingy.. I've renamed it to a donut name so I can't remember the real name. First time around I've hit +400 mind/focus for a food. This is great! Alot of people only use BoH's for the focus buff and wish that they could use the fishaks too to get the mind buff.. well now they can fill them both with 1 food. I can't wait to get better resources to see how much better the glucose pate can get. I only wish Ormacheks weren't so limited on size of buff. I can never get these to go above +130.

I sell about 10 crates a day. I cater to the mind food basically because I have found most folks have a doctor friend who buffs them. On Lowca Food business has been Really picking up

BoH and Fishak are what people want me to make them, but I'm not a master yet. Should be in a few days.
Anyway, what types of stats do I want for resources for those? PE, Flavor, and OQ I assume.
Gotik, be sure to use a Micronutrient Supplement in your Pastebread. A master BE can easily get a +28-33% duration bonus which means you can get the size buff you're talking about and it'll last for 10 minutes. Which is almost as good as Muon Gold without the downer - you just need something else for the Willpower if that is important to you.
I've been making the following, listed approximately in order of demand:
Glazed Glucose Pate, Angerian Fishak Surprise, BOH, Ryshcate, Bivoli Tempari, Tat Sunburn,Vercupti, Thakitillo, Ice Blaster, Teltier Noodle, Blap Biscuit, Dweezel, Veronian Berry Wine, Gralinyn Juice (can drink with a BOH), Veghash, Ormachek, Fire Stew.
Everything after the Thakitillo is basically equal in terms of demand. I made all of those to have some variety. Now that business if booming, I'm not sure how often I'll be able to make those lesser demand, almost novelty, items. You won't go very wrong if you make the first 8 items.
I've asked a BE to assist but it seems they can only make stuff by hand or need huge amounts of fish which I can't supply. Can they make these nutrients with any organics or harvestable items? Fish and eggs are so low in quantity and with the supply needed these days, I need crates from BE's not singles. Is this possible?

Hehe I really have a small menu just so I can keep up with resources and make decent items. I only make BoH, Fishak, Ryshcate, and Sunburns. I am dabbling a bit with others as I find decent resources for them but I hate to start making something and find that I can't get good resources and the quality of the buffs drop.
Of course I can only play a little bit of time per week so that slows down resource gathering time significantly.

let me start the scenario
he asked me for boh, i said i dont make it
he asked me for a special order, i said i dont do those
he said he would give me 100k up front to buy resources and a holocron when i finish to do it. i did it, i get holocron.
If i sold retail i would probably go 125-150k, cuz i can sell fishak at 50-60k a crate for 1/3 the resources.
A silly question from someone that got MC a few days ago. I just found out yesterday you could use Aludium in BoH. I was using Alcohol. Is the difference worth the extra time? I can get roughly +420 to all 3 stats just using alcohol and my resources, I am going to guess, are just in the 600 range average. Does the Aludium make that much of a difference to justify the extra time and resources? BoH simply using alcohol is nice.
