Thread: Something I havnt thought of before ... An improvement we need.
OK, I know this may sound small in comparison to the larger issues we have hashed out here time and time again. But here is something else that i just realized that is bugging me.
While there are some differcences I found (mostly in the componet schematic), EVERY single food item has the same Flavor 33%, PE 33%, OQ 33% way of calculating results. While this is somewhat realistic, it is just another example of the way they threw together this profession. It would be much nicer, and much more like the other professions if there was SOME variety.
Like, hey veghash is 50% PE and 25% the others so Ill this high pe cereal here and use a different cereal in this other recipe. I KNOW ws and armour people have to manage several different ratings to make the best stuff.
I found a meat that was awesome and pe and oq but the flavor rating was two digits. That doesnt do me near as much good as meat with 3 700 ratings, so I sold it to medics to use since they dont use flavor.
I only bring this up becuase if they ever get around to doing the total rehaul they have mentioned for soooo long, then this could be thrown in to give us a little more intresting things going in the profession.
I agree, I was thinking about it today actually how strange it is that everything is the same.
Good post.
Valid point i think, but i don't think changing what resources benefit the recipe really would affect chefs as much as other crafters. Our products are consumed much faster than anyone else. Which fuels my whole quantity vs quality side of cheffing.

Same. I look at flavor. But while I will decline harvesting a resource if the OQ or PE is low, if those two are high I'll harvest in spite of a low FL. In the same vein, I rarely experiment on duration. 3 minutes and 20 seconds is just not enough better than 3 minutes to justify the used experimentation.

Hmmm, I'm pretty sure some items have varying percentages. Like some things have flavour 50%, and when you use something that has 950 flav, it is better than something that has 1000OQ but 50 flav. I'm darn sure that there are a LOT of recipes that have this. Unless you are talking about something completely different, in which case I am reading lazy due to the late hour.
cheers!
