Well, I hate to say it, but I don't think Vasarrian is going to be the new Angerian Fishak. The new Fishak is likely to be....Spiced Tea.
After it was pointed out that the filling for Tea was pretty low on my spreadsheet, I logged onto TC tonight to do some verification. The Filling range for thatworks out to 9-6 (9 at 0% experimentation, and going down 1 every 25%). With 8-7 a reachable goal, that means you can quaff 12-14 teas at once, and if you can alsoget the nutrition into the mid 50s, that's a total of +700ish to Mind for a minimum of 30 minutes (40m is more likely).
Doctors, medics, and others who use the Mind pool for their specials would almost definitely prefer Vasarian Brandy. But the combat characters just looking for a safety net to prevent one-shot kills from Riflemen and high-level mobs will probably want the pool buff over any other option. Of course, going through 12 teas at a time will mean that they'll want these in barrels, possibly with a quantity additive on top of that (although a nutrition additive giving an addition 50% to the buff isn't out of the question).
I'm not sure how I feel the "uber mind buff" switching from Master Chef to Novice Artisan, but a crate of these and some Vagnerian Canape (for the short willpower boost) would probably console the people missing Angerian/Bivoli.

It's just plain stupid not to make each of the master chef foods "stand out above the rest" especially when such low ranked foods will be the biggest sellers. Spiced tea, Ormachek, Accarragm (borderline on low rank) but still, most of these are in the 1 or 2 skill box trees. I would love to see main sellers (at least most wanted/loved) to be the master chef foods.. Am I missing something, the master chef foods just don't seem to be a step above the rest? (in cost or buffing type)

Bah, no artisan food should be able to buff any single stat or skill higher than any chef food in any combination PERIOD!
Wasn't this one of the ORIGINAL things on the top 5 list? Progression of schematics power (i.e., Sunburn should have been master chef or Mix IV rather than Mix II?)
I still havent had my own asessment of whats to come, really. I get the information provided here since I wasnt able to master chef on TC to find out firsthand. Hearing this though, they better fix that filling back down a bit on the stat pool drinks. Do they need to fix barrels quanitity still?
Speaking of which, from what I hear, containers are still giving GC xp, flavor and quantity experimentation dosent exist or dosent work for some recipes, components arent all listed under components, and some foods require other foods as components, which as was pointed out, was one of the problems in the first place....
Anyway, I'll make the stupid tea just like anything else, but they obviously have some serious issues understanding what is 'fix' and what is 'bork'. Chef foods/drinks at max potential, need to rock thesocks off of artisan food/drinks,period.

Might not be in the master tree... but they still need the +10-12 experiment points to make it sellable. Im not too worried tho. If anything, they will cause 'quality' foods to raise in price. Fine by me.

Just shows how well this revamp was actually thought out :/
Back to the situation where even an artisan food can outbuff Master levels.....
OK, I know it's only mind, and you need to drink a shedload, but this situation should not happen, it's like allowing a novice medic to have buffpacks that buff for 50, but can stack 50 at a time, giving a 2500 buff.
This needs a dev reply ASAP IMO

I doubt that somebody would waste the resources you would need for a barrel of spiced tea with a quantity enhancer. It is simply not worth it just to save some inventory space.
I agree to what was that regarding master chef buffs. I do not any of those buffs being something really special and representing a top notch buff - one would expect from a master.
There is:
- a pet HAM buff
- defense vs. knockdown buff
-BoH -str/qui/foc buff
-damage reduction buff
-dodge buff
Only the BoH seems like a Master Chef food that is really worth making - unfortunately this is only when enhanced by a food additive though. The knockdown/dodge/damage reduction buff might be a good seller for PVPers. But it seems pretty worthless to me for the PVE community (buff duration too short/limited number of uses).

I think the thing you are missing is the heavy additive.
The fact that you can throw a heavy additive into the upper tier foods will set them apart over the light additive low-end foods.

Although I agree that they types of buffs available are kind of weak on the whole. I think that the BOH and the the +dodge items will be good sellers, but the rest might not be worth the trouble.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that a +10 to +12 in GENERAL CRAFTING and not Food crafting? In that case, wouldn't a master artizan be able to make better Spiced Tea than a master chef who only has Domestics IV?
Too bad chefs don't have some kind of "plus to the pools" buffs at low level - one of each food & drink (e.g. +50 Mind with filling 7 food AND drink to give people the option). This could be a tiny bit better than the artizan products, but different enough to make a difference.
But seeing as how this is Tuesday, and the patch is coming out on Thursday, I don't expect that to happen...

This is an important factor.

You are right on the money. And you better get ARTISAN exp tapes not chef ones....
