Thread: 2 hours after, does a patch not make- Yoda
However, some issues aren;t going to change, like Vercupti being the most useless master item since nemoidian bird cages.

Better yet - make some runs of Alcohol and large glasses. At least you can use them later on...
I think the objective facts are pretty well established, and people are able to draw conclusions from those facts.
If I was a fan and had a part of my identity connected to the game, I probably would be unwilling or even unable to look at the facts, but as I'm just another customer playing this computer game for fun, I am able to look at the numbers and draw the conclusion that it would probably require a person much more dedicated than I to create fun in a place in which it's clearly not welcome.
If this is what SOE wishes the Chef profession to be, it's entirely up to them, I don't have their ear into which I could enumerate the unpleasant changes this publish forces into my play.

One of the general issues many "Chefs" may have is that the easy way to profit is no longer there.
Master Chef + Fishak or GGP = 2-3 missions per crate sale (all while offline or doing something else).
People always resist change when first presented with it, and some choose to adapt to the environment instead of fighting it.
I may come back to the forums on Saturday with a Flamethrower in hand to camp the Dev Fort with the rest of you. Who knows.
Before Holo-grinding, chefs were rare. After Holo-fest 2003, Chefs were abundant and profitable due to people grinding other professions, and Chefs capitalizing on it.
No doubt this will be a temporary downtime for us, but we must remember that the entire combat system is getting overhauled which will indirectly magnify our buff impact.

I just tried milking some hervibores today from 11am to 1pm today. My Mask scent is up and NO MILKING OPTION. I hope they didn't forget to put it in.
This is true, but it's equally true that there were people who thought Titanic was such a great ship it was unsinkable, and even when presented with evidence to the contrary, were unable to alter their opinion.

If this were a baseball game, we may be down 3-0 after the top of the first inning. Plenty of game left, plenty of chefs who have yet to come to the plate, and plenty of possibilities.
Titanic is a bit if of a stretch here. None of the passengers were given blue-prints before embarking on the journey. Ships didn't run daily from England to America back then and the movie wasn't realistic to passenger awareness either.

I haven't seen the movie, so I'll take your word. I trust you got my point about facing the reality of a situation, though?
I'm not saying that there will be no chefs, I'm just saying that it looks like being a chef will require much more dedication than I'm willing to put into this computer game. As I've had fun as a chef through the periods when the food stacks were bugged and the food stats are bugged, this is saying a lot.
I believe that in general, Chefs have had an incredible amount of patience and forbearance and capacity to make their own fun, much more than is typical for gamers. If I was a SWG or SOE fan, I think I could stretch my patience pretty much infinitely, or as long as they are in business, but as I'm just another customer, I'm starting to have my doubts.
