I finally made it this weekend. I took my time and I am now overwelmed with all the resources I have to find but it was worth it.

Congrats .

May I suggest you start small with resources? Find the best for one product, make a run, sell it, buy the best for two products, rinse and repeat I tried to go all out with resources and had alot of mediocre(and even low quality) ones. Trust me, it's easier to sell high quality stuff for the time you put into it than the cheap stuff.

Right now I started with making crates of Thakitillo while I make components on my other factory and look for resources. I'm trying to ease into it.

I also made it this weekend. That makes two more master chefs in the galaxies!

I had already started harvesting high-quality components a week ago in anticipation of becomming a master. Unfortunatley some of the recipies on the pricing-excel file stickied to the top of this board are incorrect, so I was a little short for some things . Even so, my first runs of BoH and Fishak should both be out late this week. Hopefully I can start to replenish my dwindiling cash...

Listen to Jihadic. One resource at a time is my opinion as well. I concentrated on fishak and set the price at 60k per crate. I made about 75 crates and sold out within 24 hours. Most of them bought by cantina owners who resell the individual stacks of fishak, but nonetheless, the money was made. Also explain to customers how much food is actually in a crate. I had a customer who bought a crate and found it "pricey." I asked him why and he said that 60k for 25 pieces of food was expensive. I started to laugh and asked him to pull one out of the crate. The next line was something like this: "Wow what a bargain, 225 fishaks for only 60k, Im glad to see that you used good resources and took your time to gather them." He knew that they came in stacks, but did not realize that they applied to crates as well. He bought a few more crates. So take your time and make alot of one product, while making that product, get new resources for new products. While the fishak was making, I am ready for tatooine sunburns and Breath of Heaven, and am only one resource shy from rhyshcate.

Anyways good luck and congratulations.

i got master chef (kettermoor) on monday night (not on KMad, on an alt, KMadness). i just want to be a chef to play with all the new foods, i doubt i'll go into business with it. but boy did i have fun getting here. i'm a master dancer, and was talking about wanting to a chef when i grew up, and a master tailor in the dance group made me a complete chef outfit then and there, when i think i was only 2 boxes into chef. also, it was great that the grinding food is a bonus to stamina and quickness. every once in a while, i'd make some not in practice mode and hand them out to the entertainer group, and i ate many myself while giving mind buffs. i made some after i got the extra experimentation points with master, and namedthem KMadness Dance/Music Swirl.

i've never done any artisan-type profession before at all. it's such fun to make things and put silly names on them for my friends! i've so far made birthday cake for two chars born that day, when they came into the cantina, and two pieces of wedding cake for a couple that got engaged in the cantina (using aircake, i felt kinda weird giving an engaged couple a bonus to dodge but hey, that was the best picture).

i wanted to post mainly to say THANK YOU for the *very* useful sticky threads (the revamp food chart is up pretty much full time on my computer lately) and for the laughs i got reading some of the threads here. this board sure does have a sense of humor, y'all crack me up!

i think i'll put my left over skill points into tailor, i can get 3 branches. hard decision tho, i was debating taking a combat skill so i could tackle that chef dungeon /giggle.
